Hey everyone, hoping someone here can help me. I downloaded a show off 100th meridian, which was encoded in SHNs. Well decoded them, 2 tracks wont decode because of some sanity error. How do i fix this problem??

During a conversation about who will be appointed the new GG next year, the name Gord Downie came up from a decidedly non-Hip fan friend of mine.

Well, actually, it came about after someone suggested Brian Mulroney (A Senate seat is a possibility if the Conservatives win, (*shudder*) but GG? no.) and she countered: "That bald guy who does the chicken dance would be a better appointment than him. A musician seems in order anyway..." Sure enough, she meant Gord.

So I'll ask my fellow Hipheads, since Gord will be busy touring, who do you think should be the next Governor General of Canada? Jean Chretien asked Jean Beliveau before appointing Adrianne Clarkson in '99, and Paul Martin is a big CFL fan, so rumour has it somebody like Angelo Mosca could be in the running!! And remember, with all the patronage stuff floating around Ottawa, it probably won't be a career politician, so it could be anybody...

As we get closeer and closer to actually electing the gig, it will probably continue to be popular public figures (Clarkson) rather than politicians. It is strictly a symbolic position, so athletes and musicians (The Right Honourable Neil Young?) are just as possible as anyone, especially if the PM is trying to garner public favour.

So, whose the next head of state? I'd suggest that skinny kid from Brantford with the NHL records, but he's still got a few more Gold medals to win us... so, I'll go with Governor General Hugh Dillon. :mrgreen: "EH! You have impecable taste in Governor's Goddamn General! Drop the fucking puck!!"

This has nothing to do with the new album....Just listening to Phantom Power and I'd like to give Chagrin Falls a thumbs up. For sure one of my favorite songs on the CD......or in general. Paul belts out like a mad-man on it.

they played vs on the local radio the other day and when the dj came on he told the masses that the new album name was "as yet untitled"...so i call him up and tell him of his error and he doesnt believe me...so i ask him if he cared to make it interesting and he offered up a case of beer as a wager and i gladly accepted. i downloaded the album cover off of rounders web site and sent him an email containing said album cover...needless to say...come june its a new hip album AND free beer...ahhh life is good :thumb:

"How do you think the new album will be received by the public and the critics?"

I know the tempos are popped right up there, they are a lot faster. It’s more like a record we made called Road Apples, we made that in New Orleans and it was on the heel of a tour. The instrumentation is pretty much the same as that, there are no overdubs. [Adam] Kasper [the producer] would not really let us do too much. As far as people reacting, like the critics, we really haven't been a band this long to worry about that. If we look at it like we are fortunate working musicians and get on the road and play, we are happy about that.

I don't know if anyone has posted or noticed, but the hip have changed there site. Looks quite cool. In the reading on the right of the page, it says touring will be addressed below, but it isn't, kinda weird I thought. All in all, I like the new site!!!
