Saw this browsing through maplemusic.com, makes me wonder how many people are buying Road Apples to aclimate themselves to how IBE is supposed to sound like.

Hey all,
Tonight's the last night in my first real place away from home. The magic of the Queen's ghetto is actually kind of getting to me, so I'd thought I'd share this, a song by the Old 97's (the best band from Dallas -- EVER).
Also, to salvage this from total sappiness, any good moving stories and or songs that sum up the experience?
Cheers
Pat
House That Used To Be
Do you wanna wind up in a graveyard?
Like a number on a scorecard.
They're gonna wrap you up in corn silk
They're gonna cry like you were spilled milk.
You'd better take another Quaalude
And get yourself corkscrewed.
I understand that you got cold feet
But why'd you have to take 'em down a side street?
I must be dumber than a spit curl
'Cause I got hung up on a showgirl
Now I look like I'm a scarecrow
I might as well go on a talk show
And this ain't home anymore
It's just four walls and a floor
Home is where you get the goods for free
This is just the house that used to be
Yeah the house that used to be
You're gonna wind up in a graveyard
Like another girl who co-starred
They're gonna wrap you up in corn silks
They're gonna cry like you were spilled milk
And in the far off wail of freight trains
And in the lonely howl of Great Danes
I hear the girl I lost forever
I hear the girl I lost forever
And this ain't home anymore
It's just four walls and a floor
Home is where you get the goods for free
This is just the house that used to be
Yeah the house that used to be
Well, IE isn't even out yet and it's already setting Hip records for longest song title (Gus: The Polar Bear from Central Park) and shortest running time (40:98). Gord seems to like his records short and verbose these days. Not that I'm complaining.
But does anybody know anything about this bear?
The price of gas in Winnipeg is 84.9 a litre!
I can't handle this anymore!
What is the price of gas for you guys?
What a game! They killed philly, outshot them, beat them up..ahh..nothing like it.
Hey Guys.
Listen, I know this is not really related to The Hip, but if you're looking for another really great band, check out this link.
I know there are a lot of huge Hip fans who are looking for another band to really love, so this may be it for some of you. They're heavier than the Hip, but they're pretty awesome. They've got a lot of punch on this new album.
I'm pretty exited about these guys and there new album is comming out May 11th.

Ahoy, can some kind soul give me a review of these 2 cd's?
Does anybody have a decent copy of this show at the 9:30 Club? I was there and have been unable to track one down. Thanks.

Its a stretch, but maybe, someone, maybe...
Bought "Music of Mass Destruction" the other day.
hock: WOW
hock:
THE best live album I have ever heard without question.
It includes a DVD of the same show in Chicago at the Metro. The reason I love it so much is not so much for the setlist, but for the quality of the recording, pure soundboard, no polishing, the crowd noise is fantastic, loud, but not overwhelming. The sound is exactly the same as it was when I saw them at the Continental last fall in Buffalo. Charlie Benante is #2 on my list of best drummers next to Neil Peart. Good friggin' stuff!
