Hey...maybe it's late and I haven't had much sleep...but I was noticing something with Heaven is a Better Place (just got it). Does this song have an 80s / punk sound to the tempo?

By the way....really liking this song, more so than Summer is Killing Us. But really...they're all great. Big Grin

Alright, so in a third or fourth date situation, after the niceties and polite "getting to know you" stuff is over, and a woman offers to pay for dinner... should I let her?

I've always been the old fashioned (Maybe hopeless, clueless I dunno...) type who feels that a woman should never pay. I don't know if it's gentlemanly, but it's just kinda ingrained in me.. it just doesn't feel right to have a woman pay. But tonight, I kinda got a "What, I'm not good enough to pay?" vibe from her outta the deal.

Is it too passe to treat all the time? Should I whip out my wallet to show intent but then let her pay if she offers? I know things are different in a long term relationship (Especially when it becomes "our" money) but what do you think about early on in a relationship.

Is "the guy always pays" a thing of the past, or will she pull an "I can't believe he let me pay!" act when she speaks to her friends?

Also, any help on which friggin' fork does what would be greatly appreciated.

I have a feeling that considering it's only half the tickets for the club, and that the other shows have sold out so quickly, it's going to be a matter of seconds before these tickets sell out.

Good luck to everyone! I'm sure I won't get any, I never have any luck with these types of things...

Nick

I was thinking back to my first hip show at courtcliffe park back in 1991.
it was a three day camping party and bands played the last two nights.
over 30,000 people came. the port-o-potties were filled to the brim and the partying was out of control. the hip were fabulous and the night ended with the most spectacular thunder and lightning i had ever seen. the next day the campground was flooded as people made there way out of the campground fried brains and all. anybody else see that one?? 8)

Why is the July 1st Toronto show not sold out? I'm perplexed.
I can't understand it, its Canada Day, the concert is in Toronto, the Hip are to Canada what baseball and apple pie are to the U.S.

Whats the deal? Any thoughts?
