I'm going to the Wasaga show in July... I've never been to Wasaga Beach before. I've heard from a couple of friends that parking can be insane there on summer weekends. Can anyone who's been there before recommend any good spots to park? Is it a good idea to get there really early in the day to make things easier?

Thanks
Nick

Absolutely superb album. Any other Matt Good fans around here? I don't suppose I'd get shot for saying so.. For some reason people really love to hate that guy.

So what's up with this show now? We know it's June 29, at the Mod Club, and its an edge presentation. So only for edge members??? No tickets on sale at ticketmaster?? what kind of crap is this? I signed up to be an edge member, and now you have to "enter to win" tickets. A f'n contest now.....Name the title of the second Hip record. Do you classify the EP as a record? I put down Up to Here, but it could be Road Apples...Why only in Toronoto is a "contest", but everywhere else they're selling tickets on ticketmaster, or giving them away on radio stations......

My rant for today, maybe Gord could use it in on the 29th.

thanks

The Calgary listing is a joke, if you read his listing...you can get the tickets for face value, and anything you bid over that secures a bootleg that he has. PLEASE, what a joke.

Here is the link for the Vancouver show...ouch, high prices!!

Just listening to the Hannover 100th Meridian for the 1st time - sounds like Gord got dinged by a bottle of sunscreen.

This must be the 3rd or 4th bootleg I hear where someone throws something on stage.

Why the h@ll do people through stuff on stage?

Hey gang,

TB said the show is at 8:00 pm. Does this mean the show starts at 8:00 or doors open at 8:00? I need to be back in Regina by 8:00am on Thursday so the show has to be over by midnight. Any of you that have been to one of these secret shows, can you give me a heads up?

anything that systematic would of course get you hated, however...

this is a twist on an old classic.

You're on a cruise with 100 of your closest friends and family and the hip. You're celebrating something huge, and your best friend somehow fanagled the hip to play it. So, the ship sinks, nobody on board knows how to swim and you're the only one to get into a lifeboat. So, you're in that lifeboat made for ten. You can only pick nine more people. Around you people are drowning fast. Only nine of your immediate family and close friends are left and the hip. You can only save the hip or those nine friends and family. Who do you choose?

Okay, I got a site dedicated to the Hip and I noticed some others on here do too. So I would have no problem linking to other sites and those sites linking to mine and we end up making a Hipbase-frequenter "web" (clever analogy, eh?) of similar sites. All we do is post our links in this thread (it'll be like giving permission to link to our site) and when we do, we add links on our pages to the others listed here. Then people can use this thread to check out Hip sites. I've been through the "web-ring" and some sites are no longer available.

I'll start the thread (and hope it takes :thumb: )

Hello,
I noticed someone gave their Hip Fan club # to prove that they were a member so that someone could give them the password to get tickets as they hadn't received the email from the Fan club.
I was wondering if someone could help me out? About 3 weeks ago I switched from dial up to cable and forgot to let the Fan club know of my new address. So I didn't receive the password that they sent out. Could someone please let me know what it is? I would really appreciate it.
My Hip Membership # is 8001 0012 5335 0333.
Someone also mentioned that the show was sold out but the Ticketmaster site still says "Find Tickets" so I am wondering if it is still possible. Doesn't hurt to try. Maybe they will allow a few more tickets later.
Just my luck I'd switch email addresses at the same time they send out a password for a rockin show. Small venue......sweet! Have fun to all of you who are going!

Cheryl

Maybe I'm overly sentimental. But damned if this isn't a poweful tribute. Even if you just read the first paragraph and the last two, you'll be glad you did.

Warren's a role model of mine, only had brief e-mail contact with him over the years, but this saddened me. Again, this might not mean anything to you guys, maybe I'm way off, sorry if I'm reaching... but I think it's beautiful. I'll hug my Dad on Sunday.
