I just ran into an amazing deal for a new computer.
But I have a question about USB 2.0
Everything I have ever used is not 2.0, but the new one is.
Can I still use all my old equipment - cords, camera, scanner, printer, etc...
I believe I can, but I just want to be sure.
I actually started more to get funny stuff submitted because I don't have that much of my own, so if you've heard a good one lately let's hear it!

A professor of mathematics sent this fax to his wife:

When he arrived at the hotel there was a faxed letter waiting for him. It read as follows:
Dear Husband,
You, too are 54 years old and by the time you receive this letter I will be at the Breakwater Hotel with the 18 year old pool boy. Since you are a mathematician, you will appreciate that 18 goes into 54 more times then 54 goes into 18. Therefore, don't wait up.

A man with tickets to the Stanley Cup Final finds his seat and relaxes. As he sits down, a man comes down and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him.
"No", he says. "The seat is empty."
"That's incredible", said the stranger. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Cup Final and not use it?"

Hey all, I am signing off for the weekend and I am really nervous. I havent been away from the hipbase for over a night before. I am not too sure how I can cope.

As I sit waiting to get onto 100thMeridian, to get a good album, I've been watching the Boston Mpeg...greta work on camera, great stage view too. I was just wondering why I don't hear more mention of All Tore Up? I have to say it was written to play live! Are they still playing it live? I haven't looked at any setlists, but I would have to say that it is one of the best "live" songs they ever wrote. A highlight of the album for me, I hadn't heard it in a whie.
I was at the movie theatre on sunday night watching the bourne supremecy (great movie by the way). Anyways while waiting for the movie, they usaly play music. And some maybe older(?) blues type of song was on......
and all of a sudden i hear a line in the lyrics say "just like the tragically hip, you are ahead by a century"
anybody know this song?

Hi all. I'm taking a poetry course this summer and one of the elements of the final project is to compose a review of a book of poetry. I, quite naturally, picked Coke Machine Glow. Does anyone know of any good *scholarly* reviews of the work? Writings taken from music magazines and the like will do just fine, but the more academic the better. Also...I'm just looking for inspiration...so if anyone on the board has written up a review, I'd love to hear some thoughts! Thanks Everyone!! :thumb:

Are there any sites to download live/rare mp3s of the Hip besides the 100th Meridian. I can never get it to work.
Plus, is there somewhere where i can go to figure out how to use SHN's? or what do you call the format that is normally use on 100th Mer.

I love rock and roll bands that add a little Ivory now and again. I think it's part of the reason I love "Sherpa" so much and couldn't get enough of the "Evening With" tour.
