Has anyone gotten any official word on this yet. The show still appears on <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.thehip.com">www.thehip.com</a><!-- w -->. Has anyone gotten an email from the hip yet. Here we are like two weeks away from the show and no word. This is shit, do we get a refund? What about all the plans made. I booked off from work to go to this show. Had I not been a member of hipbase I would still have no idea this show is cancelled. Bushleague!

A cute observation by Paul Wells (Who you might guess, is a little peeved) that the "Deaniacs" didn't make the difference that they claimed they would.

I'm not so much surprised at the result as I am dissapointed in the rightward shift across most of America: both houses (Hey Tom Daschel: I think Haliburton is hiring.) and Gay rights especially took a beating.

That last one makes me think that tolerance, plurality and acceptance don't seem to be included in those "values" we heard so much about.

The G&M put it well today, "Bush put all of his eggs in the church collection plate" and won big.

Congrats Bushies.

At least the Hillary's and Obama's of the Democratic party have four years to regroup and rebuild... they're going to need it.

Just saw it live on CP24, there is no information yet though, looks like a big fire to just...happen though..not saying it's terrorists or anything, just seems interesting.

I don't know about the rest of the state, but on the western end we all voted to send 'em all back to Albany.

Did everone forget these are the same people who took record length of time to put a budget through? The same people that are destroying upstate NY. The same people who continue to ensure we are the highest taxed state in the country. The same people who ensure that we will continue to pay more per person for Medicaid than Texas and California combined! How about special interest groups? Don't get me started! I don't care about party affiliation. Just get rid of 'em all and start fresh.

When is this state, err... the whole country going to realize that in order to change and make a better government, we need fresh blood. But no, we are all (obviously not all, but the majority) content with the status quo.

Right now the popular vote is 56-44 for Bush. That is depressingly large margin. My confidence just went WAY down. And it looks like the Dems could fall even further behind the Pubs in the Senate...Tom Daschle might be on the losing end of this election.

15 states plus Washington DC close their polls in 60 seconds...if Kerry doesn't win the popular vote by a landslide in these states, it's all over.
