Came across an interesting article about Adscam and Jean Brault's testimony in the Gomery inquiry that was leaked despite the publication ban. If his testimony is confirmed as accurate (it was published on a blog) then it looks like the Liberals are well and truly toast. Here's the link.

Can somebody fill me in on Paul Martin's role last night? I'm just hearing about this now from a non-Hip fan politico who tells me the PM was on TV last night for "some band." Hip?

WOW ! I am peaking comin directly off cloud 9 ! In the montage of praises from some of Canada's biggest names talking about the Hips legacy, they cut to a shot of fans also discussing the worlds greatest bands ! and me and my buddy made it on ! it took place last november post ACC show at the Loose Moose, there was a camera crew there doing "interviews"of fans and their thoughts on the show and the HIP in general. I was so baked and hammered, who would have thought my comment on the hip being "tighter then ever" and that their "new songs are wonderful and their old tracks KICK ASS" would ever make it to the Junos !! Woo my voicemail was full last night of friends and family that saw those comments on the JUNOS ! CRAZY ! just wanted to mention how proud I was to be affixed to such a tribute, it was an honor in fact and I am still in a state of shock !....peace to all you HIP fans out there, I am glad we got a sayon one of the biggest nights ever for our beloved band...

Okay, i think we can all agree that the preshow hosts were horrible at best...so who should it be for 2006?

My picks:

Suk Yin Lee (sp) she's in the know and has some street cred
Carl Wilson from the globe and mail.

And slow it down a touch....the pace was frantic to give this allure of hollywank or something...id have liked to hear more from the artists, not just unusable soundbits/ben asking a quesion then tuggin the mic away mid sentence from the person he's just asked a question to..so he could pitch to the other useless one...sorry dont know her name.

I dunno, there are a lotta possibilities, yours?

OK, after watching last nights Juno broadcast I've got a question. There were lots of Paul references last night so I was wondering if anyone knew the story behind Gord D's "introduction" of Paul during Fully Completly... "Mr. Paul Langlois", right after the "I ponder the endlessness of the stars, ignoring said same of my father" line.
As far as I know this is something he's been doing for a long time... anyone know why?
Paul was also mentioned by Alex L from Rush... he mentioned his squinty eyes.. that was pretty funny.

he's in kamloops next sunday opening up for blue rodeo.i'm stoked i get to do this live on-air and he's gonna play live for me..gotta admit i'm a little nervous..any question ideas??

The Hip stole the show, but I thought K-OS, Leslie Feist, and K.d. Lang all gave excellent performances. I've never liked K.d. Lang's music, but her rendition of Neil Young's "Helpless" was absolutely beautiful. And kudos to Leslie Feist for soldiering on through what looked like to be sound problems with her guitar.

Other than that, the show sucked.
