Howdy folks, I was hoping that a Chicago hipbaser could help me out. Kathleen Edwards is coming to town on the 16th of May and the girlfriend and I are planning to go see her show. However, I was hoping to avoid the Ticketbastard charges (15.45 charges for two $15 dollar tickets!). If a chicago hipbaser would be willing to go to the Double Door box office and send the tickets to me here in milwaukee, I would be extremely grateful. Pm me and we'll work out the details. Thanks!

Hey there HDRC fans, Im sending out a request to all the tapers out there to try and tape some of these shows for us. We have some confirmed tapers but the more that are there, the better chance of a quality recording being captured. WE are working very hard to try and get as many shows as possible, these shows are not to be sold or anything, just traded to the loyal HDRC/HEADSTONES fans

April 29th Buffalo- taper confirmed
April 30th MOD CLUB - taper confirmed
May 2nd Call the Office London - TAPER NEEDED
May 4th Ottawa - TAPER NEEDED
May 6th - Big Bucks -Taper Confirmed
May 7th - Waterloo - 2 Tapers confirmed

So there it is 2 shows that need to be taped, If anyone can get these Gems for me I will trade you for some Headstones or HDRC shows really if you tape these youll have a very good in for Headstpones/HDRC bootlegs.

Maybe I have missed something, or the fact that I am an insane fan of the Hip that has blinded me, but what is so wrong with us Hip fans that I have been hearing about lately?

What exactly has the critisism been? What have we done to piss people off, and actually have had to have the object of our fan-dom defend us. I'm not seeing it, and am quite puzzled by it.

Is it that we respect quality music, and not the bubble gum flash in the pan crap the record companies are force feeding us, or attempting to.
Is it the fact that we aren't following the Nickleback, Default, Creed same ole crap sound that seems to be the only alternative to the bubble gum crap.

What ever it might be, I give huge Kudos to Gord Downie for standing up for us and appreciate what he did. Gord showed huge class for standing up for us on their grand occasion.

The old man works for Yamaha and they debuted some very cool (Well, so my electronic geek buddies tell me...) stuff at this years CES including a TV that can split sound down the centre of a room and a single speaker that can produce a surround sound effect. Hello all, I just uploaded a very good show I got off Jerremy's ftp site onto the hipfans.com tracker for those of you out there who haven't figured out ftp (I know it took me a while!). It's got some great Gordisms and just the fact that it's from Maple Leaf Gardens makes it a worthwhile addition if you don't have it.
