it could have been worse i guess, but sum 41 won rock album of the year..handed out last night...guess this shows how much the junos really care about rock eh?

Just wanted to say this was a kickass movie. Mickey Rourke steals the show.

I never read any of the comic books... actually I had never even heard of them until the hype for the movie started, but it was totally killer IMO.

The pink Floyd april fools post really got me...so I started a little floyd binge. Found some torrents and relived one of my favorite highschool past times. Watching the wizzard of OZ while listening to Dark Side of the Moon. I remember when the rumors started flying...Loooong before the internet became a daily activity. Was it true? Could it all be coincidental? The members of floyd do not elaborate on the possibility, but I think it had to be done purposefully? Has anyone else ever tried this?

The only thing that could have been worse than that april fools post was a post saying floyd and zeppelin to reunite and tour together...God I wish they would both get back together....

Please let the Hip be involved in this. I'd LOVE to see them perform a Neil Young song.

I GOT HIRED...ON THE SPOT!

The hip came up when he looked at my resume and saw that i worked at Summerfest in 2003, he said "I didn't know they still did Summerfest", so i told him that indeed there was still a Summerfest, and that we also had a Blues For Food, Northern Lights Festival, and that we had our first ever Bluesfest this past August , which was headlined by The Tragically Hip, he mentioned how he used to be a big fan and had seen them in the early nineties in NY just across the border from Niagra, and how great a show it was, but then he said he didn't like their newer stuff at all, so i dunno what's up with that, it kinda pissed me off, but i held my tongue and just nodded politely and sure enough i was hired.

I heard a commercial on the radio yesterday that said, "bring me a dim bra on April 2 and I'll give you an iPod Shuffle. Visit <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.bringmeadimbra.com">www.bringmeadimbra.com</a><!-- w --> for more details."

So I did.

This morning I went down to The Bay at Queen & Yonge Streets here in Toronto, bought myself a very pretty red satin with black lace trim bra, stood in line for too long in the cold and rain, and am now sitting contently waiting for 4 to 6 weeks for my brand new iPod Shuffle to arrive in the mail.

My sister in Ottawa and her fiancée both did it, as did my other sister and husband at the Bay & Bloor location. The turnout was much poorer than I thought it would be. (They only gace iPods to the first 120 people at each location, and at ours there were maybe 130 people.) Did anyone else hear about this?

It was the most poorly executed promotion I've ever seen as The Bay had nothing to do with it, other than the fact that they sell the DIM brand... and every person claimed their prize and promptly walked back into The Bay and returned the bras.
