I stole this from Sam Roberts - and it just fits my state of mind right now.

Ever since the site crashed I keep getting a security screen popup that is driving me bonkers. Anyone else have this?

Saw it this afternoon and I loved every minute of it. Incredible performance by Joaquin Phoenix. The guy looks and sounds so much like Johnny it's creepy. He sings all the tunes himself, and after the first 10 minutes you barely notice that it's not actually Cash. I'd like to see him win the Oscar for this, but after Jamie Foxx's win last year for "Ray", I doubt the academy would award two music biopics in a row. Reese Witherspoon is very good as well. The movie ends just after the legendary Folsom Prison concert, and I kinda wish they would've touched on his mid-90s comeback a little bit. But that's a minor quibble. Johnny's story is well told, the movie flows nicely, and the music is fantastic. Thumbs up!

Anyone want to trade or B&P me for this show? If you want to trade, my TTH collection is lacking these days, but I can offer you some Dave Matthews or Pearl Jam.

Also, if you have the Stones and/or OLP set from that show, I'd love to have them, as well. I was front row/center and I'm looking to have the "collection" as a keepsake.

I realize that all three sets are up for download at various places, but I'm on Rogers and they're dropping all my P2P connections so there's not much I can do. I got one copy of the Hip set, but two of the FLAC's were corrupted. What a tease.

The Tragically Hip has left the Vancouver-based Macklam/Feldman management camp and is now being co-managed by Eggplant Entertainment's Patrick Sambrook and Bernie Breen Management's Bernie Breen. Patrick also works with Sarah Harmer, Kathleen Edwards, Danny Michel and Sam Roberts, while Bernie's roster includes Matthew Good, Not By Choice, Alexandra Slate, The Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir, Brad Stella and Kathleen Edwards' husband, Colin Cripps. Congratulations on the new addition, guys.

At first I was loving the new NHL, and I still really enjoy the games....but Im seeing alot of high scoring games and Im not sure if I like watching 9-7, 8-0, 6-5 games over and over, its pretty run and gun so far. I love offensive hockey but maybe there is something that needs to be tweaked or changed I dont know, or maybe its the constant power plays thats to blame for the high scoring? How would you guys grade/rate the new NHL based on what you've seen so far? In the following areas..

Officiating/Penalites-too strict? Too many loose calls or wimpy calls?

New Rules-Like them, hate them? Needs changing..

Offence-high scoring games and blowouts

Defence- or lack of it, rules to hard on D-men?

The Goaltending problems-Great goalies looking mediocre for the most part, smaller pads to blame? Rules to blame? Goalies being exposed?

The Shootout-love it, hate it?

Lets hear it..

But it is of very low quality and is therefore not included.

3. Last Of The Unplucked Gems and Reformed Baptist Blues made up
