Has anyone had ther opportunity to see the new Cirque du Soleil production "LOVE"? I was in Vegas last week, and got some tickets. I was pretty skeptical about how it would be. I'm not a big Beatles fan, but being a fan of music in general, I thought it would be a must see. I was right. It was awesome.

Basically what they did is re-did Bealtes classics(with the sound being unbelievable) and characters danced to the music on the themed stage. Really something to see. I had gone to see "O" last year, and just mildly enjoyed it. This Beatles show I would go and see again.

Howdy folks; thought it was high time I went ahead and de-lurked (the power cell in my Bird of Prey's getting low). I'm Matthew, hatched and reared all over the beer-drenched confines of Western New York, but living in the Grate State of North Carolina for quite some time now.

Been a Hip fan ever since '89, when NOIS hit the airwaves, but it was Day for Night that cemented the band's place as Official Soundtrack Artist of My Life (with a good bit of help from Tom Waits and Greg Dulli). Looking forward to the new record (not terribly worried about the Bob Rock thing), as well as the rumors of a possible Asheville appearance this fall.

  Differing set lists

This is nothing that will cause any impact in the world but......... I am just wondering why the set lists are different to each other from the show The Hip played at the Showbox in Seattle on Oct 10, 2004. The one on here is correct but the one on thehip.com is wrong. Did they sneak in a second show I didn't know about? Sad Just curious.

Hey Everyone,

Just a little activity to keep those with Hip on the brain occupied. Please ignore if this has already been done to death.

The Tragically Hip have quite a few songs that reference some form of water in the lyrics. The game is this:

Quote a line from a Hip song that has some type of water reference. The next person must name the song and then continue the game with a quote from another song.

The rules are few:
- No cover songs, solo projects or live concert references.
- Last correct unanswered quote wins the game and receives 5 gold stars.

Heres my take on Wild Mountain Honey... just play around with the riff's, and the C and G chords to make it sound a little more full than what I have tabbed...

This is somewhat embarrasing; however, I am not too proud to ask. One night while I was taste testing copius amounts of beer for a local gas station, I changed my sig to read a fabulous G.D. quote... "I got no enemies..I'm only eight...", but for the life of me I cannot remember the show from which it came? Can someone throw me a bone? :? :roll: :?

There's no limit of covers out there. Almost every band has done a cover, whether it be on an album or in a concert.
SO, what are the BEST and the WORST Covers out there???
