My apologies for starting another thread about Tom Waits, but since some of you Canucks so desperately want to see him, I wanted you to be alerted to the addition of a 9th show on August 13 (this Sunday) at the House of Blues - Cleveland, within a reasonable driving distance for some of you.

It's a LATE show, doors @ 11:00 p.m., show @ midnight, and should be unique, since he's playing Akron that SAME NIGHT at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets go on sale THURSDAY AUG. 10 @ NOON EST (I think...more info here).

They didn't even let people choose their own favourite driving song. The article says that "The seven songs were selected by music journalists." (Yeah, from what psychadelic stations?) cratch: I would have liked to have chosen my own favourite song thank you very much.

Word has it Gord is vacationing on PEI right now. Delete this thread if it is inappropriate but I thought I'd mention it. It's cool that these musical genius is gracing PEI and enjoying its sights and sounds.

Anyone know going to this fest?

I am considering but have a couple questions

How long will the hip be playing?
Since this is a telivised event do you think the hip will just play their new Album?

Any other bands worth checking out, I know G love, matisyahu and string cheese will be there, anyone know of any gems playing

Me and my buddy are planning on taking a road trip somewhere tomorrow, and it has to be within six hours driving distance of Toronto.
The frontrunner is Montreal, but we've both been there several times. Any underrated spot that's worth hitting within that radius? All opinions are welcome and appreciated.

Hey folks...

Seeing the Hip in PEI this past June was the 8th province in which I've seen them perform (I've also now set foot in every Canadian province). Has anyone here seen them in all ten? How about our American friends? In how many provinces and/or states have you seen the boys perform?
Here are mine:

All provinces except for BC and Alberta
US: Minnesota

That puts me at 11/60
