why am i not buying? i live near albany, NY and no one is selling. no music store can even tell me an actual US release date, and for some reason the hip's website doesn't bother mentioning it. best buy will order it for me as an import for $32!
so, i had a friend burn it for me off of limewire for free. i've bought all their other ones, and have been a fan since hearing them on chez 106 in 1988. the only other time i paid import price was for live between us, which set me back $24, and then months later i saw it everywhere for $10 or so. not getting burned again...
by the way i searched quite a few topics on hipbase thinking there must be thread for american fans and the album release, but no luck. i must be out of the loop, but not finding info on the hip's site is the most disappointing thing. :x

Here's my problem....

finally I found 'The Heksenketel' video for sale on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/The-Tragically-Hip-O...dZViewItem)

Now it turns out the seller won't ship the item to Belgium, but only to America or Canada .
Is there anybody in Ca. or Am. that wants to buy this item and then sell the video to me??
The video was never available Europe...so this could be my only chance to buy it.

I'm counting on all you die hard Hipfans to help a die hard Belgian Hipfan!!! :thumb:

Is there anybody out there, or in here, from Vancouver going to Chicago to see the HIP? I just bought 2 tickets, but my girlfriend can't go. Just wondering if there is a group of Hip fans heading there?

If you guys could help out and send out an email off to the address they provide. I mean, it couldn't hurt... I helped out and sent an email off to a similar campaign for the Austin City Limits Festival, and also the Festival Of Lights...and those were successful!

I have been listening to some unknown bootlegs, and there was a version of Fire In The Hole, where Gord sings the first verse and then all of a sudden goes "That's it boys, that's it, that's it, that's it" and then addresses the audience saying "thank you,very much, that's enough...that's unsafe, is everyone ok? etc etc"

and it got me thinking....how many times have you seen the Hip stop in the middle of a song, and why?

I've seen them stop Twice in one show during one song, it was Edmonton 04' when they played New City and they screwed up on Summer Is Killing Us twice.....nothing too extraordinary, but pretty rare and quite funny. I guess that happens when it's the first show of the tour.

I know I have heard Gord say this long before "World Container". But without digging through my tapes, anyone remember where they have heard it before?? I'm thinking the first I may heard it was back in the 2004, Grand Rapids show, but that is just a guess........

I found out yesterday that my girlfriend works with Gord's Mother-in-law.

First they drop the NFL Network and ESPNU in Buffalo. Then they interupt two sabres games with commercials during play (and miss a Sabres goal). Now they are threatening to drop Fox29 next month beacuse their cheap asses are fighting with Fox over a contract. :x

I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to start looking for this show. It was a great night with a phenominal setlist (like so many other 'An Evening With...' shows).
Is there anyone out there will to do a b&p or to put up a torrent on the tracker for this show? You'd be doing a fellow fan a solid.
