I don't watch a lot of TV, so maybe I have missed this for awhile, but I couldn't find it posted anywhere here...

I just saw this commercial on TV from Historica Canada. I am so glad these issues are still being brought up, even months after Gord has finished his tour..

I can't figure out how to post the video on the message.

This is my first time posting sorry if I make any errors Wink
I'm sure you all remember when Canada Post released the stamps commemorating The Tragically Hip. They also released 750 of these framed photos that where distributed to various post offices thought Canada. My mom happened to get her hands on one and it made one hell of a Christmas gift. I was wondering what these would be valued at so I could list it on my house insurance (although I doubt it could be replaced). I don't rely on Ebay or Kijiji because just because someone is asking for a certain amount of money it doesn't mean it's worth that amount of money. My print is not for sale under any circumstance, it has a lot of sentimental value and like I said before I doubt it could ever be replaced.

I didn't see a thread for this.

The list should be coming out this week for April. 10th aniversary this year. Anyone participate in this? If so, any big plans?

I usually head down to Nashville every year. This year will be the same Smile

Even if you don't do RSD, the 3 Hip reissues on vinyl come out the day before RSD, so it gives you an excuse to head on out to your local shop and check out some records Big Grin

Mine would be Copps Coliseum, or FirstOntario Centre as it's called now. Saw three shows there (2004, 2007, 2016).

Out of 23 shows I was surprised three was the most times I'd seen them in one venue.

I found these 5 posters in my flat file that I had forgotten about. Any idea if these are collectable or not?

The Watchmen, Winnipeg's second greatest musical export after Neil Young, are releasing their first official live album in April. This is a band that, in my opinion, never achieved the level of success that they were due. They have at least two classic albums in Silent Radar and In the Trees and were/are one hell of a live act. I haven't seen them in nearly 20 years so I'm pulling for an East Coast show when the tour dates are announced.

The Watchmen Return with Live Album Live And In Stereo Out April 7, 2017

Celebrate Release with Hometown Winnipeg Show at Burton Cummings Theatre on April 8

Beloved Canadian rockers The Watchmen will release their first official live album, Live And In Stereo on April 7th via Fifth Kid Records/Fontana North that was recorded at the Burton Cummings Theatre in front of a hometown crowd in Winnipeg on March 24, 2016. The album comes as an 8-song limited edition vinyl package with an accompanying digital release containing the full concert. The Watchmen will mark the release of Live And In Stereo with a special hometown show at the Burton Cummings Theatre on April 8. Stay tuned for more upcoming Canadian tour dates.

Live And In Stereo captures The Watchmen’s classic line-up, vocalist Daniel Greaves, guitarist Joey Serlin, bassist Ken Tizzard and drummer Sammy Kohn, blasting through songs from their five Gold and Platinum-certified albums that made them one of Canada’s most successful bands of the ‘90s. Guitarist Joey Serlin reflects on the live album saying,

“ Our live show has always defined who we are. Our all in approach to our concerts has resulted in incredible fan loyalty. The band and its fans have a very special relationship. I am so happy that we have captured this on our first official live release. The fact that the show was recorded in Winnipeg, where it all started, makes it even more special. I am very proud of this release. It was a true labour of love.”

Fans who attend the live show on April 8th, will be able to purchase a vinyl copy of Live in Stereo at the venue and can relive the experience from the comfort of their own home. The vinyl will also be available for purchase on Amazon, and will be available digitally via iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play.

Ticket prices start at $29.50 and go on sale through Ticketmaster starting at 10 a.m., Feb. 24.
