Hi guys,
I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the meaning of the song Lake Fever. What do they mean by ceasing investigations? Who is investigating what? If you could just tell me what the song is about (i have an idea that its about 2 lovers at a lake in algonquin park) but any deeper meaning would be much appreciated!
You can email me with any answers (christineluksis@hotmail.com) or just post them here.
Thanks!

Just wanted to pass along a little note...those of you who plan on attending Edgfest and are "Inside Edge" members who plan on buying your tix through them, they will be FULL price, and these are not the $27.50 earlybird tix that are being advertised. Those are through ticketbastard, not the Inside Edge...seems a little odd to me to have tix avaliable before the early birds, but those are full price...anyways, just wanted to throw out the heads-up...

Hey All,

Just wondering what you think are the chances of Gord doing another T.O. show? Or any other shows close to T.O.
My Gord need is growing!

No, the line-up hasn't been announced yet...but I'm seeing a BIG gap in GD's touring in early August...hey we can dream can't we? When was the last time Das Hips did Edgefest? '92? Nevertheless, what does everyone think? Edgefest's popularity has really declined as of late, from a full-fledged Canadian tour, to not even being held on Canada Day! Think this year's version is going to be another, yawnfest, with bland names such as Treble Charger and Theory of a Deadman, or do you think this year could be it's revival, with big acts, and maybe even our boys??? Thoughts anyone?

Just reading some of your movie posts and thought i should post up one of my own.

I saw the Life of David Gale in the theatre and have not been able to stop thinking about it until today when i rented it as it came out on DVD today. I had read some, let say, unfavourable opinions about the movie. Just wondering if anyone had an opinion?? and if you havent seen it or are thinking about renting a movie and dont know what to choose, i hope you will be pleasently suprisied

Dan

Me being a political science student, this sort of thing intrigues me...I'm interested to hear from the Americans of the Hipbase...with everything that's happened in the past few months, especially the much-hyped "Uranium" claim, I'm quite curious to know, what do the Americans of the Hipbase think of George W.? Who voted for him? Who didn't, and does anyone regret the way they voted? I only get the big stations plus Buffalo networks, so I'd really like to hear from everyone...do you think he deserves the power he holds? Much has been made of his foreign policy, but how has the United States changed domestically thanks to him? Hope this doesn't come off sounding too much like an essay question, but I'm really curious to know....thanks everyone!
