From DJ Dave over at the Canucks.com forum in response to a question about the "new Hip song":
Quote:The song is called:
"Vaccination Scar" and is soon to be released to radio. This is the first single off of their new album, just finished (title as yet determined).
The album is slated to be released end of June.
Glad you liked it. I've been playing some of the other cuts here and there, to hear them in the big arena.
When I'm not spinning tunes for the Canuck faithful, I am the band's project manager, here at Feldman & Associates; we manage the band.

Mystery solved about why the Canucks' fans have been so blessed in this regard...
M.
have a look at this. Square A and square B are the exact same colour!!!! if you dont believe it, open it in paint or a photo editor and see for yourself!!!
I laughed when I read these. What a poor bunch of blighters. This is the same hapless group that refused offers from Mexican authorities to rescue them from the caves, after being stuck in there for 5 days.
Brits out of Mexican cave, but in big trouble
Last Updated Fri, 26 Mar 2004 7:12:13
MEXICO CITY - Mexico detained six British men late Thursday after British navy rescuers led them out of a flooded Mexican cave where they had been trapped for more than a week.
The men were healthy but unkempt after the ordeal, and half-jokingly asked for beer.
There's no word on whether Mexico will offer them any in the immigration detention centre where they are being held in the nation's capital on suspicion of violating their tourist visas.
The men caused an international flap when they refused to let Mexican rescuers extricate them from the Alpazat cavern in Puebla state, using their communications equipment to ask for a British navy rescue team instead.
"Their stay was legal as tourists, but there are indications that their activities were not of this type," Mexico's assistant interior secretary, Armando Salinas, told reporters late Thursday night.
Immigration officials were expected to question the men to see if they were on an unapproved military or scientific mission. One rumour circulating in local media said they were prospecting for uranium, for example.
Salinas acknowledged that no equipment was found in the cave that would suggest a prospecting trip.
Britain's Foreign Office had earlier insisted that the trip was "strictly a caving expedition," though four of the explorers were members of the British military. The defence minister said the men were members of a military caving club on an "official military adventurous training expedition."
On Wednesday, President Vicente Fox said Mexico would send a letter of protest to Britain over the incident.
Has the fiscap.hipbase.com password changed?
I highly recommend this band :thumb: Check out the song Opium; it reminds me of a lot of early Hip with Davis Manning, with a larger horn section.
Hi there! Has anybody heard this, or know anything about it?
A friend at work was telling me that he heard on the radio (97.7)
that they said the new album title!
Well anyways, he told me the name was gonna be: " Vaccination Scar "
I guess we will see the title in a few months.
: )
Can't wait

Did anyone get a chance to pick up "all of our names" ??
what do you think?
It's great/awesome/excellent... but, it's Sarah
ohh.. and another version of 'silver road' is on it too :thumb: :thumb:
:jump As a long time hip fan from overseas, I hope they add a european leg to a possibly upcoming tour! Last time they played here, it was in venues of about 300 to 500 people. pretty different to what you are used to in canada/states. anyway....they did a great show, (me in the front row) though the place was not sold out and it was only about I guess 250 people there, 75 % Canadians....
Only complain about the energy loaded performance was that they only played about 90 minutes. Sure it is quality and not quantity, but if you can get both.....
"if there's a goal that everyone remembers, it was back in ol' 72....!"
Hey all,
I was just sitting here trying to study for an exam and I started thinking of a couple of great songs by Mr. Johnny Cash.
First I was thinking about "Boy Named Sue" which is a great and funny tune.
Then I started thinking about "Hurt" the last song recorded by Cash. It is an amazing song, very moving. i am sure most of you have heard it, but if you havent- definietly give it a listen!
:thumb:
Ok, I've heard a lot of the album. On the booklet says they played there to record some stuff for a radio contest. I was wondering. Did they win the radio contest?
Wouldn't it be a great inspiration if they didn't win?
