Not to be a prick but,

This forum should be called "The Tragically Hip Discussion" not "Tragically Hip Discussion." It'd be like going over to The Rolling Stones site or The Beatles site and seeing their names incorrectly spelled, and God knows what type of general anarchy and chaos that would cause.

It's "The" Tragically Hip.

Sincerley,

Prick.

... the fact that not one person mentioned that CBC RadioOne Definitely Not The Opera broadcasted 50 minutes of the Hip's 2002 show in Belgium
this past Saturday March 27.

I can't believe no one other than myself listens to DNTO. Luckily I taped it.

Although I am not too big a fan, I can respect its history and culture. Just wanted to let you guys and gals know that The Grateful Dead have given permission to www.archive.org to host shows. I can see this getting real, real big. Have fun!

Now if we could only get the friggin Hip on there... Confusedcratch:

Singer Howie Day, the opening act for Barenaked Ladies Wednesday night at the Alliant Energy Center, was jailed early today after a disturbance on his tour bus.

According to town of Madison Police Sgt. Wayne Stolpa, Day, 23, was jailed on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and intimidation of a victim.

Stolpa said the disturbance, which was reported at 1:35 a.m., involved several young women who were invited on the bus. After getting on the bus, parked outside the center, one of the women tried to get off.

"Apparently, they changed their mind about why they were invited on the bus," Stolpa said.

Day tried to prevent the woman from leaving and tried to stop another from calling police, Stolpa said. The disturbance involved "brief, physical contact," he added.

It was unclear whether other members of the Howie Day Band were on the bus, but Stolpa said they weren't involved in the dispute.

"Howie was the only actor involved in this," he said.

He had no information available about intoxication being a factor in the incident.

Police have referred the charges to the Dane County District Attorney's Office.

Day, from Bangor, Maine, has enjoyed recent success with his 2003 album "Stop All the World Now." He has opened for several major performers, including Sting, Sheryl Crow and Tori Amos.

OTTAWA -- Paul Martin had a high-flying close encounter with an UFO earlier this month, according to a report filed by the prime minister's pilot. Martin and his entourage were cruising above Alberta on March 21 when their Challenger jet came within an otherworldly whisker of a luminous object streaking through the night sky.

In a report to Edmonton air traffic controllers, the pilot of Martin's plane noted seeing a "very bright light falling" through the air, with smoke trailing, while the plane passed over Suffield.

Bit of a long shot, but I gotta find some help on this game on my phone. It's a Samsung phone and the game is called push push.

I normally wouldn't waste so much time on a cell phone game but it so happened that I had a lot of time with not much to do at a trade show last week. So I got pretty far along in the game and now I'm stuck on stage 33. Anyone play this game? Anyone?

Hey folks! I'm a longtime poster over at alt.music.tragically-hip, but sadly that place has since dried up. Fortunately I came across this forum while surfing around today. You guys look like you're havin' a good time, so I figured I'd pop in and introduce myself. Can't wait for the new album!

Cheers,
Casey
