I am am avowed 80s hater. I lived in England til 1992 so I THANKFULLY missed the 80s in America. It will be a deep and profound sense of shame I feel when my kids realize I was born during the age of sweatbands, neon, synthesizers, giant gay hair and SHOULDER PADS. Even across the ocean, there were certain elements of the 80s you just couldn't avoid.

I remember many years ago when I first heard ABAC I thought he was singing "A heterocentric", don't ask me what it means, but that's what I heard. lol! I thought when he sang "Courage" I didn't think it was courage, I'm not sure exactly what he was singing. lol

Yes, I was listening on a crappy radio in the middle of a lot of noise, so you can't blame me. Before now, I mostly heard The Hip in the 90's when I was working on a bus as a bus monitor and the driver listened to CHOM out of Montreal every single day.

I nearly shat meself when I discovered this - a Knopfler FTP like bootleg sharing program, but better than an FTP because there are UNLIMITED connections!!

Find all you need to know at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.la-knopfler.tk">www.la-knopfler.tk</a><!-- w -->. You'll need to download the DC++ software and get a login ID, but believe me, it's worth it. How it works is you tap into other people's bootleg libraries, they're not hosted on a central server like an FTP. And this one guy has HUNDREDS!! It's amazing!!!

Knopfler live is not to be missed. You can even find the treasured "Lost CBC recordings" of the 2002 Toronto concert that CBC got SOUNDBOARD recordings of but never bothered to air.
