Did anybody catch thornley at the mod club on may 27th. What an amazing show. Its the third time ive seen them (edgefest 2003, Three Days Grace) and this show was by far the best. The watchmen (all members) even came out and played a tune :thumb:

And what a kickass performance of Big wrecks 'the oaf'. Definatly one of the best new bands out there right now

I also took a drumstick to the nose during oliver blacks set, and caught ian thornley's guitar pick!

IF you were there and remember the setlist, could you let me know.

Thanks.

For those who have heard the radio commercials for The Hip at The Amphitheatre; what is the very last song used?

All the rest are very recognizable, but I think that the last one is another new song.

???

Wow...notice all the Hip tix that went up on ebay in the last 24 hours?? Grrrrr...I wish they'd have left them alone and allowed people on this NG to obtain them, without having to pay outrageous ebay prices!!

Fame is a big illusion. The hip are waking to their lives. Why don't you all wake to yours. Idolizing, living in fear,..."Your all a bunch of Slaves"....remember who said that? Buy the album..listen to it ...get whatever out of it that you may...then get on with your life. There is one thing to build your relationship with and it ain't the Hip.
What is it then? You probably have never wondered cuz fame has got you. Bounded and blind by the hip. Be careful.

In between evolution is a choice. Is it your senses that decide or is it YOU. We are all waking up for ourselves. Some are musicians....some are magicians...some are beauticians....and some work at McDonalds.

Be,
as water is,
without friction.

Flow around the edges
of those within your path.

Surround within your ever-moving depths
those who come to rest there and enfold them,
while never for a moment holding on.

Accept whatever distance
others are moved within your flow.

Be with them gently
as far as they allow your strength to take them,
and fill with your own being
the remaining space when they are left behind.

When dropping down life's rapids,
froth and bubble into fragments if you must,

knowing that the One of you now Many,
will just as many times be one again.

And when you've gone as far as you can go,
quietly await your next beginning."

Hi all,

I just have a question that I am hoping someone could help me with. I am trying to change my picture and I keep getting the message that your picture must be less than 7kb. I have tried everything I can think of to lower the KB's but still it won't work. Confusedcratch: Does anyone know how to lower the KB's?
Thanks for any help!

Ok, it's pretty much June 3. Has anyone got this song from the cases of beer yet? I thought it was supposed to drop at the start of June. Can any Ontarians help the rest of us Hipsters out? :thumb:

Okay, on a new thread and on a lighter note...I know we're all big Hio fans here...and I'm sure many of us have met the band, got pictures, autos, etc...

What's the one thing that you own (relative to the Hip) that is your most prized possession...

I have quite a few, but my fave is probably the very first Hip auto I got, which included Gord writing "Kari's Hip Museum since 1988". Very cool.

Here is a link to see it scanned...

Now...anyone else have something to share?
