Forum: Tragically Hip Discussion
- Replies (5)

I will admit, awhile back I grew tired of buying an artist's record and it only had one song that i liked and the rest sucked. I also admit that i downloaded every Hip album except Phantom Power, M@W, Fully Completely and Up To Here. Recently though I have decided to buy the Hip albums. I consider them worth my money. I have bought Road Apples and the first, EP. I have the option to get the rest through Columbia House. Now here's the questions....

On www.thehip.com you can activate music videos with enhanced CDs, are the dates for enhanced CDs as follows as listed on the Columbiahouse site? What else are on the enhanced CDS?

Road Apples • UNIVERSAL RECORDS • 2000
The Tragically Hip • UNIVERSAL RECORDS • 2000
Up To Here • UNIVERSAL RECORDS • 2000
Day For Night (2 CDs) • UNIVERSAL RECORDS • 1999
Fully, Completely • UNIVERSAL RECORDS • 1999

And also, DFN with 2 cds! It states that there are bonus tracks on the second CD, which are these? The demos (Dante, etc)? Any info on this topic would be greatly appreciated! (I'm still gonna buy them though)

Fear No Art.

You are afraid to be infinite.

It is hard for you to see that you are not seperate from me.
The "Hip Show Presence" is that 'feeling' we all get when we see them Live. Sacrilage, eh? What if you felt like that everyday. Is it possible?
You and I are capable of experiencing "The Hip Show Presence" in any situation. Yes......Even before the show starts.
Why are you so devoted. What are you afraid of losing. Find what is real. Keep doing what you are doing....It will fall away eventually. Only what is True will stay. This is only an invitation to wake to yourSelf.
What do you think the Hip are trying to say...... In Between Evolution....where do you think they are going....?
My question remains..... Who are the Tragically Hip?

Why catch me a cab, when You can take me there yourself..!
If you come with me, who will stop you?

If any of you have any question regarding this post...just ask.

Jays are in Oakland tonight, Barry Zito's curve ball is DISGUSTING. It's like something out of a video game. It drops from space. Give it a look during intermission.

On a des fan d'Expos ici?

Not to start a political war, but you gotta see this photo.

As a photog, THAT is a once in a lifetime press snap. It should be on the cover of every major daily tomorrow. In my opinion, this is a major story. Harper wants to avoid the social policy issues, but this provides all of us on the other side with a great symbol of why the Conservatives need to be defeated this time around.

Heaven Is A Better Place Today

Here's a glue guy, performance god
A makeshift shrine and newly-laid sod
"Are you even trying?"
Guess they're not

I sure hope God I'm not the type to dwell
Hope I'm a fast healer; fast as Hell
Heaven is a better place today
Cuz of this "F**k the word"
It's just not the same

Mmmm, if and when we get into the endzone
Act like we have been there
A thousand times before
Don't complain
Don't say people lose before
They're out of time anymore

A toonie to the busker
And I ask "Can you keep it coming?" under my breath
They said, "If you wouldn't mind,
Less crying and more trying.
More trying and less crying."

I'm not the type to dwell
I'm the best healer; fast as Hell
Heaven is a better place today
Cuz of this "F**k the word"
It's just not the same

Oh, if and
Mmmm, if and when we get into the endzone
Act like you've been there
A thousand times before
Don't complain
Don't say people lose before
They're out of time anymore

Don't say people lose before
They're out of time anymore
Oh

Oh, if and when we get into that endzone
Act like you have been there
A thousand times before
Don't change
Don't say people lose before
They're out of time anymore

Oh, it's just not the same
Cuz of this
Oh, it's not the same

Resale of Tickets

You may not resell the tickets you purchase for more than their face value. Face value is not what you paid for them but what is printed on the ticket. Surcharges can be added to the selling price but that is all. You may not add the cost of your shipping to the resale total. If any hipbase.com member is found to be reselling, trading or brokering tickets for profit through hipbase.com's forums the thread will be removed, and appropriate action will be taken. If you contact a person to purchase tickets and find out that this is what the person is doing, please report the user and thread to me at lance@hipbase.com

We urge you not to purchase tickets through brokers or "scalpers." These tickets can be counterfeit in which case you are not only overcharged but the ticket will not even allow you admission into a show.

Enjoy The Concert Season!

Fame is a big illusion. The hip are waking to their lives. Why don't you all wake to yours. Idolizing, living in fear,..."Your all a bunch of Slaves"....remember who said that? Buy the album..listen to it ...get whatever out of it that you may...then get on with your life. There is one thing to build your relationship with and it ain't the Hip.
What is it then?

In between evolution is a choice. We are all waking up for ourselves. Some are musicians....some are magicians...some are beauticians....and some work at McDonalds.

Quote:Be,
as water is,
without friction.

Flow around the edges
of those within your path.

Surround within your ever-moving depths
those who come to rest there and enfold them,
while never for a moment holding on.

Accept whatever distance
others are moved within your flow.

Be with them gently
as far as they allow your strength to take them,
and fill with your own being
the remaining space when they are left behind.

When dropping down life's rapids,
froth and bubble into fragments if you must,

knowing that the One of you now Many,
will just as many times be one again.

And when you've gone as far as you can go,
quietly await your next beginning."
