I am sorry. It started off as a joke but then everybody started believing me. "The Pants A-Fire"?? As in "Liar, liar, pants on fire..." So if people seriously thought I was "somebody famous" (I never claimed to be famous), then i figured I'd fool around. Now people are calling me asshole and saying it was a "cry for help"?!?! Okay, it's obvious I'm no longer welcome here. At first, I though I'll just get rid of my posts (i was angry) so it was like I was never even here... 150!? So i just said screw-it. Look, I think this is the coolest site I have found anywhere on the web... The people here are awesome and hilarious but if I'm not welcome after a stint which only started off as a joke, then I'll leave. The last thing I wanted to do was upset people... I'll be a die-hard Hip fan to the very end and I may even come on here as I do to keep up on the news (and see what funny shit Stephen Dame will say next :thumb: ) but this will be my last post... Sorry everyone... This seriously got way too out of hand. (I just voted myself off the island)

Someone posted in the "comments" section under the newest topic on the main page, that the Hip are playing the Kee To Bala this coming Saturday? Can anyone confirm this or add any more information?

Sorry Vancouver Hip fans,

Due to some "technical difficulties" the ticket sale did not proceed as planned today. Tickets will definitely go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday June 15th at 10 AM Local time. Other previously released information remains the same.

To add to Heron's thread from Thursday, anyone care to chime in on their favourite preview tracks?

After about a hundred listens to the mp3 I made, my favourites are (in order);

1. One Night In Copenhagen
2. As Makeshift As We Are
3. You Are Everywhere
(close 4th - Mean Streak)

I like nine of the tracks while the other four will take some getting used to (Gus: The Polar Bear From Central Park, If New Orleans Is Beat, The Heart Of The Melt, & Are We Family)

My friends and family have been telling me for the past 7 years that I'm completely obssessed with The Tragically Hip. I never believed I was obssessed at all and have always denied it. I always commented that I wasn't obssessed, but rather just a huge huge huge fan of the music and live experience.

Well now I have come to the realization I might be little obssessed. I literally search hip related stuff everyday, am always on the hipbase forum and checking thehip.com

Are there any other crazy people who leave hipbase.com open on their computer all day simply refreshing to always know the latest news? I do notice that there are a few people that are online every hour of the day. I think I might be a little crazy! It's good crazy though!! :-) :-) :-)

I unfortunately don't have any Hip in my collection yet, but would love to get my hands on a copy of this show.

This has me a little worried:

I sent an email to the whiskey in calgary asking about taping the upcoming shows and this is the response,

"No photos or recording of any type.

The Hip are being promoted by "The house of Blues" concert promoters.

THe House of Blues does not allow it.

Is there some way to circumnavigate this? I really want to tape these shows!
