Hi. Just wondering if any of you buffalo hip fans know of any decent mountain bike stores in the buffalo area. Need some parts and thought id go over early before the darien show to try to avoid bridge traffic, and search for parts (specifically a stem and seatpost by Thomson)?

i really think thehip.com has dropped the ball lately as we've discussed many times...check out sites for bands like velvet revolver, pearl jam and (i hate to say it) metallica...great site the napster haters have, and all their shows are available for download....thehip.com used to be so cool!!

But, in thinking about how crazy my life gets sometimes between work, the house, the kids, errands, etc...how do others here on hipbase find time to unwind...and in that time, what do you like to do?

Myself, I run. I LOVE to run...I run between 4 and 5 miles a day. It's a great escape for me. Just me and my headphones.

For all Canadians going to the show on Friday.....it's been posted a few times...leave early. I went to see 3 Doors Down yesterday. Left Georgetown at 2:00 pm.....got to my seat at 7:30pm.

I'm making the trek to the Big Nickel to see the boys. Anyone have any idea or heard what time they're expected to be on Saturday. All I know is the Bluesfest is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and the Hip headlines on Saturday. Do these festivals run to late evening or are they over by 6:00pm? Any ideas??

Hey guys/gals! To the people on here that are camping that weekend on the grounds at Darrien Lakes! I just got back from there (July 16-18th). And i just want to say, becareful, because they are being idiots and being realy strict with everything. With security & the police patrolling the grounds..........

Well, this could prove to be another beauty of the Hipbase. I'll be travelling from Guelph (Thanks again Jamie) to the Darien Lake show, Friday. We're all pumped, I know we are. At shows, I, as well as many others I'd assume, like to get a little green before the show. I don't however, like the idea of bringing anything across the border, it's just something that I'd like to avoid. So the be blunt (No pun intended) are there any hipbasers out there going to Darien that could hook-ah a fellow 'baser and his crew up before the show? PM me, if possible...
I type this tongue in cheek...but hey, what can you do?

My recent post last week mentioned that the 100th had just turned 2, and that I was looking for some info on how everyone was connecting to the server, apps, settings, etc.

Well, I have just invested in some new FTP Server software and placed it online... So please email / post here if you have any issues with connecting, uploading or downloading.

The new software has some features many of you have asked about over the past 2 years, resume up/downloads, an upload only account, etc.

So, here is some of the new stuff:

To Download Shows (5 slots):

ftp.thehundredthmeridian.com
username: hip
password: hip
- All shows, vids, pics, etc. are in the DOWNLOADS folder.

To Upload Shows (5 slots):

ftp.thehundredthmeridian.com
username: upload
password: upload
- Please upload files into the UPLOADS folder. This account will ONLY allow uploads. You will not be able to download anything or see the DOWNLOADS folder. This is for uploads only.

New features:

• Resume Upload
• Resume Download
• 'Always Open' upload account
• 'Hammering' Limit. If you try to connect too many times in a 60 second span, your IP will be banned for 60 minutes. (please don't hammer the server!)
• Detailed stats - I'll be able to post up download figures for most downloaded show, etc.
• Admin email notification of new Uploads (so I can label and move to the DOWNLOADS folder)
• (Hopefully) Better speed and reliability

Please let me know if you have any issues - I want to make sure everyone can get in... and fix any problems that may come up with the new software... I already see a few people d/ling shows - so it looks like users can get in OK.

Also, please pass it around that uploads now has it's own account, username and password - thanks.
