So...I watched Bubba Ho-Tep last night, and I must say, excellent, if not totally bizarre, film. Has anyone else seen it? I don't want to write out a bunch of spoilers if people are planning on watching it...but it's just such an interesting idea. Crazy, and probably drug induced, but interesting. I'd give it :thumb: :thumb:

Except for We'll Go Too in Wasaga does anyone else think that the setlists have been pretty boring so far? They're basically sticking to the same set and alternating a couple of songs, ie. Fully, Nautical. There hasn't been the same level of setlist shakeups as we had on any of the past tours yet. Anyone else think it's strange that we've yet to hear IOD, DD, Greasy, Scared, Thugs, Locked, Long Time, Pistols, 50MC, Gift, Escape, Chagrin, Fever and so on. All of these were played on the IVL tour and the only song that's been played on this tour that wasn't played on the last one is We'll Go Too.... Also think it's too bad the only songs from IVL so far are Silver Jet and Good Life.

Not really complaining I know there's only been 4 shows (not counting the club dates), and I realise that this isn't the full tour yet and hopefully they'll mix things up a bit more once that starts in the fall.

The battle for king of The Tragically Hip has been a heated one so far this summer. On several occasions Gord has been scene exchanging words with the mic. Clearly they have been having relationship problems. Of course, I don't know all the details, but it seem sthe the MIc is struggling for supremacy. Gord is put it in it's place telling it is nothing without him, and that he is not a man, he is a microphone stand.

Anyway, the question is. If Gord and the Microphone(including stand) were to fight, who would win?

I love 'You Are Everywhere.' I feel it's one of Downie's finest moments as a writer, and impassioned moments as a singer. Anyone else feel the same?

And---who is everywhere? A lover? Fans? God?? All of the above?

The thing that haunts me is the penultimate line, 'in the ballroom hanging, you're there.' Does he mean a hanging (lynching) IN a ballroom? Or that 'you' are hanging in a ballroom? Either is haunting...

Thoughts?

this is kinda funny and sad at the same time. some people actually come to the town of macklin,sk. from overseas for this game of tossing horses ankle bones. i drive past the worlds largest bunnock frequently for work purposes....ahh the small town life
