Just got an email from moe. and they are coming to the Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda, NY. (10 minutes outside Buffalo)
Great looking old theatre that only seats 1000-1500.
Tickets will go fast for this.

Hey folks.
I think I've solved my delima regarding trying to be in two concerts at once. For matters of finance and transportation back to school, I'm going to the September 12 show at RMC insted of the Old 97's show in TO that night. So I'm offering up my two 97's tickets to either a fan of that band looking to see them live, or someone who can't go to K-town but is still interested in seeing one hell of a concert.
For those who do not know, the Old 97's hail from Dallas, and have currently released "Drag It Up", their sixth album. They fall into the "alt-country" but have an incredible knack for writing 60s-esque pop, ala the Kinks. I have seen them live but once, but have some of their boots. They have yet to put on a bad show, and are playing Lee's Palace, a great place to see a gig. It's also their first Canadian show since August of 2001.
So I've got a pair to the first interested soul. Retail, with service was 40 bucks. I'm not sticky on the price, I'd just like to spread the good music and recoup at least one of the tickets.

Anyone with any insight? No other information is given. Is it just another re-release, or might there be something more( bonus songs, by any chance)? Rounder is listed as the Label in all cases.

Watchmen vocalist bounces back with new Doctor duo
Doctor is in.
Less than a year after the demise of local heroes The Watchmen, vocalist Danny Greaves has returned with a new band, a new outlook and a new collaborator in Rob Higgins, formerly of Change of Heart and The Royals.
"I find we can say stuff to each other that's harder to say to people we've been playing with for 15 years," Greaves says from his Toronto home. "We're not thinking about it; it's not four guys in a room over-thinking stuff -- it's two guys in a room not thinking too much."
The Winnipeg-based Watchmen released five albums in 15 years and were staples on the radio and touring circuit, with hits such as Run and Hide, Boneyard Tree, Stereo and Absolutely Anytime. All four of their major-label albums went gold or platinum.
But during their last few years as a band, all four members undertook solo projects that eventually eclipsed the group, sparking the decision to call it quits.
"We were concentrating more on things out of those boundaries, and it seemed that everyone was enjoying those things more, so for me it was liberating," says the 33-year-old Greaves, whose extracurricular activities included film scores.
Doctor's debut album, High is as High Gets, was recorded in February and will be released nationally Tuesday on Maple Music, distributed by Universal.
Stylistically, the album is similar to The Watchmen -- thanks in no small part to Greaves' front-and-centre vocals -- although first single, What Makes You Think He's Lucky?, is heavier than The Watchmen's later material.
"Watchmen fans that have followed from our message board seem to be taking to it, but it's hard to say if they'll like it or not," Greaves admits. "It depends on what part of the Watchmen they like.
"If they like the singing, they'll like the singing on this record. If all they liked was everything else, maybe they won't. There's lots of music on this record for lots of different people."
Doctor will hold some CD release parties in the Toronto area his month and work on setting up a cross-country tour for the fall.
Does anyone know if this concert is general admision, or is it when u buy the tickets, they just assign u a seat. I'm just wondering b/c alot of my buddies wanna go, and I don't want to have to be responsible for purchasing all those tickets. Therefore, if it was general admission, each person can get there own, but if they assign seat numbers, then one person has to get all the ticks in order to get the seats together. Can someone help in this dillema? Thanks All

just read that velvet revolver will be releasing a DVD this fall...what will it take for the hip to get on the ball with this???? velvet revolver..=ONE CD, and already plans for a dvd, and live EP...
