I have been to 40+ shows now since 95, and I thought the show was awesome! They sounded great, energy & effort was 100%, setlist was good. Would I have liked to have written the setlist? Of course, but they are playing to masses every night, not 3000 diehards. Pigeon Camera, Another Midnight, Trickle Down, Cordelia, The Luxury, Looking for a Place to Happen, We'll Go too, Vapor Trails, Appartment Song, Sherpa, Put It Off, Stay, I want to hear everything. They can't justify playing new songs every night, because they will not sound good, they need practice, and they played a good mix anyways. This whole tour has been more divesified than I can remember! These shots were from row 2, I hope you enjoy them, I am very pleased with the quality! Cheers to Drez, good to meet ya! I was disapointed with no Josephine, but thankful for Nashville! Enjoy the holidays!

I just wanted to thank you all for this terrific site. I'm relatively new to the Hip but i'm trying to jump in with both feet.
My first show was at the Concert for Sars last year at the Skydome, and i've seen them three times this year (Detroit, Toledo, and Toronto last Friday). And i just bought tickets to the new years eve show.
Its great to be able to read what other people think and feel about the HIP.

Blow has only been played 184 times, I can't believe its been played less than poets, I can remember maybe 1 show i've been to where it wasn't played....Maybe.....

I wanted to start a topic in light of the fact that Chris is releasing a lot of DVDs.

I was interested in what brands everyone uses and their experiances with each brand they have used.

For movies:

I have only used Riteks, both Ridata and the +r with the G05 Dye. I have never had any coasters with over 100 burns, and no data corruption at any point on the disk, on any of the burns.

Some things I have read: Lots of people have problems with memorex, you never know what kind of disk quality you are going to get some spindles you could get a rebranded Ritek and others you could get Jim Bobs Discount DVDs.

Maxell hasn't caused me a problem on the few burns I have done, and Sony has also been good on the 1 I have done.


I generally only use Ritek and Taiyo Uden, no substitute for the 2 best disk brands.

What's up with the Freddie Mercury references? Gord made one again on Saturday in London. He's does this on occasion, but I've never been able to make out what he's saying.
