yes..i feel like compiling an introspective,thought-provoking melancholy cd..don't really know why, but i do!! would love some ideas on what to include

Thought this might be interesting for prognostication in the midst of a tour ... be bold -- tell me, what song will we never hear live again and why?

My money is on: Throwing Off Glass.

Why? written for a movie about curling; good song, but seemed kinda shoe-horned into IVL. Don't think they ever played it with any real frequency during the IVL days, and now with even more material, I think TOG is done like dinner.

I"m assuming it's just a album promotional poster but this is the poster David "stole" for me at Clifton Park. Some guy just walked by and ripped it off the wall and we took it;-)

It's like blurry but you get the idea.

As I posted in another thread: "I was thinking that if everyone who has concert pics could send them to me, I'll put together an anthology of concert pics from this year, make a DVD with menus and music, and post it on the tracker. Thoughts, comments and contributions can be sent my way."

This could include pics of people meeting the band, out with friends before/after the show, pics of Hipbasers in their Hipbase shirts, pics of the band in concert, etc.

We could also include a "Best Of... Live" compilation, where we choose some of the favourite tracks recorded live this year.

OK everyone, get your computers ready, and clear off about 4Gb so that you can download my DVD of Friday's show at The ACC.

After the ACC show, I was asking some of my friends about their least favorite opening bands at Hip shows. Mine is definitely 'Klarissa' they opened for some American shows during the Henhouse tour. I don't have to explain to any of you that saw them.

What was your least favorite opener?

Hello all.............Just going through some old setlists and reminising about time gone by.............lol

Anyways, I vividly remember being at the Lansdown concert, but something has always bugged me.............the setlist doens't seem to reflect what my mind remembers, but hey, maybe I was hallucinating a bit back in those days. I fully remember them doing a version of Thugs. The reason I remember it so clearly is that I thought for sure Gord introduced it as "This is a song called Fudge"? I thought what in hell kind of name is Fudge for a song? Lastly I was positive that they closed the show with Blow??

I also remember how loud that concert was, I had never heard anything like that before, but it wasn't the Hip, it was Midnoigh Oil. I remember the Hip were late coming on because Midnight Oil blew something and they had to replace it. I have been to many loud concert, but my ears rang for days after. I remember the drive home that night literally shouting at each other in the car just to hear over the ringing. Definite permanent damage done that night..........lol

Again, maybe I was in a bit of a "purple haze" back then, but I am sure I remember that. Was anyone else there to confirm that I was not going crazy??

Was listening recently to The Hip Woodstock bootleg wishing that was there..........

Anyways, I still have never seen this (aside from the little crappy clips on Muchmusic when it happened). Anyways I assume someone here must have it on DVD or VHS. If so, is there a chance I could set up a trade or something to get a copy??

The Hipbase database comes up blank for May 13, 1996 at the Landmark Theatre ... in the wake of this week's ACC show, I'm trying to go back and see everything I've seen live and I don't have a record of this anywhere. Any help??
