Hello all,
a newbie indeed...........i cant believe there isn't already a "hwygrl" here i mean minus the numbers " i am the original" Can't remember how or why or when i got into the hip but i instantly became hypmotized. My fav show i think was Cayuga it's tough but it was a weird day it rained and i found a real live hippie with a huge umbrealla and his lips and tongue were all stained purple.......anyway the hip came on and we stood back and were speechless both for different reasons...........my soul lifted literally like when you hear a new song for the first time and it fits whatt's going on in your life.........that's how it was for me. Brother (cougar trader) got me into this site and it is so very cool now i can get off the backgammon sites and have some fun. I have already met a tonn of Hipbasers (if that's what you/we are called) and am digging each and everyone of you. Latest show JLC and it was great....best seats so far off to the side level with the stage and made some serious eye contact and i was relatively sober. Looking forward to new years day at Copps coninsedntally i'll be in the same row(15th) as my three amigos (one of which has seem our boys 60 times) now that is a fan!! Any how i'm from Woodpile i mean Woodstock and i am an Iron Pourer and love that our local radio stations that play so much Hip it helps with the sanity of shift work eh?!! I love our great lakes and the fact that we can still swin in them is awsome!! Love crusing in my Cabrio and listening .......... there isnt a better was to appreciate and hear an entire album uninteruppted (god love the county roads)!!
Hope this is the right way to do an intro a little long winded but midnights will do that to ya!!

I'm not sure if this topic has been resolved before, but is there an audio (or video) recording of the Across the Causeway show the hip did in Kingston. I know there was some discussion about whether taping would be allowed or not, but I don't remember hearing that it was actually taped.

According to a news report, a certain private school in Washington recently was faced with a unique problem. A number of 12-year-old girls were beginning to use lipstick and would put it on in the bathroom.

That was fine, but after they put on their lipstick they would press their lips to the mirror leaving dozens of little lip prints. Every night the maintenance man would remove them and the next day, the & girls would put them back.

Finally the principal decided that something had to be done. She called all the girls to the bathroom and met them there with the maintenance man.

She explained that all these lip prints were causing a major problem for the custodian who had to clean the mirrors every night.

To demonstrate how difficult it had been to clean the mirrors, she asked the maintenance man to show the girls how much effort was required.

He took out a long-handled squeegee, dipped it into the toilet, and then scrubbed and scrubbed the mirror clean with it. Since then, there have been no lip prints on the mirror.

This is the difference between a teacher and an educator.

i guess chris tanz and i are on the same wavelength....after my last show in saskatoon i was curious to see what songs i had never seen live. craven was my first hip show and the only one of 12 i can`t find a setlist for...opened with grace and i remember gord talking about wanting to run his fingers through everyone`s hair for a couple of minutes before kicking into greasy jungle...unfortunately thats all i got! anyone who can finish off the setlist?

I don't even know how to explain this. Just read it. It's quite a bit though so I doubt the majority of ya will even bother. But being a fellow Hip fan, I couldn't just keep it all in my inbox... Either it's complete fiction... or it's not.

Anyway, sorry for bleeping out most of the juicy stuff, lol, but (even though I'm king of the a**holes) I don't want to be responsible for any harm that might result with this information seeing the light of day. Like if some jealous Hip fan females want to rip this woman apart or if somebody just wanted to kick her ass for spreading bullshit about God, er, I mean Gord.

JUST SO WE'RE CLEAR; I'm not vouching for this or in any way, shape or form, saying that this is true material or not. I'm simply interested in what everyone else here thinks....
