This isn't really a super-serious criticism, but just something that's always confused me...
if fingers and toes are 40 things we share, that means each one of my fingers and toes counts for one (20), and each one of your fingers and toes counts for one (20)...
so then shouldnt the fact the we both don't care count as 1 each, my not caring counting as one, and your not caring counting as one...
therefore, the line should read...
"fingers and toes, fingers and toes, 40 things we share...Fourty-two if you included the fact that we don't care."
or am i missing something?
and yes, i'm aware i'm a loser for thinking of this, so keep those comments to yourselves...

NFL is back....how bout round two of our little bet from last year? dolphins win more games than bills, you can't post for a month, if the bills win more i can't post here for a month, either team makes the playoffs, and the loser has to rock a custom avatar throughout their playoff run, either team wins the superbowl the loser has to rock a custom avatar til a new superbowl champion is crowned...

Wow...that was something else!!! One of the best shows I've ever witnessed. Eddie came out before the opener and did a solo acoustic version of Porch!!! Awesome...
They opened with Release, which was the best version I've ever heard of it...Eddie's vocals were mixed perfectly and they soared...gave me shivers. Great mix of songs old and new with awesome energy from band and crowd. Harvest Moon was wonderful. During the 2nd verse of Rockin' with the house lights on, Bono ran out from the side of the stage to join Eddie...with the rest of U2 watching from seats on the side of the stage. A killer Ledbetter ended a phenomenal night.

I'm sure its been asked a thousand times, but is Greasy Jungle about somebody's funeral?
I actually *listen* listened to the lyrics a while back, and I just get this impression of the sudden death of a close relative and going to their house to pack up their stuff.
Aside from the "funeral home sandwiches and coffee", the part about "I saw your hands melt into one and other" to me evokes the image of the classic funeral pose for the corpse, one hand in the other.
Then the song shifts to the recently deceased's house, where he's helping to clean up the house by doing the dishes; implying that the person lived alone and died suddenly at home.
Just bought it this morning. I threw it on in the car and it absolutely kicked my ass right from the opening riff all the way to the final fade-out. 13 solid new tracks of balls-to-the-wall rock n' freakin roll, courtesy of Sir Ian Blurton and his merry band of rockers (which includes his incredibly sexy wife/bass player Katie Lynn Campbell). Gotta love a band who puts out two new records in the span of a year and a half. They just embarked on a western tour and lucky for me they'll be here in Calgary on Thursday. I highly recommend checking them out. They're amazing. Here are the tour dates for anybody who's interested. Word of advice: Ian likes it loud, so bring ear plugs.
