Hey all... cool thing happened to me today. I was with my 17 month old daughter, waiting in line at Blockbuster, and who should appear before me (all 6'3" of him) but Mr. Joel Plaskett. I introduced myself, said I was a big fan, told him we saw him in Sydney and Halifax opening for the Hip. He said he's been on the road for 9 of the past twelve months, and he's really happy to be home, saying that he's going to lay low for awhile. I asked him if another album is anywhere on the horizon and he said that a live DVD is coming out soon, with two new songs being performed on it. He was very personable, insisted on shaking my daughter's hand, and said he hoped to see me at the New Year's show. That was about it. More chitchat about being on the road, what he planned ondoing at home for the next few weeks, normal stuff. Thought that was a neat thing.

If you haven't gotten this off the tracker I suggest you do. Great Raod apples era recording...and I think we have found the source of Gords whale songs sounds...there's this mic spike during the NOIS frogman rant and gord says something like goddamit vick...and then goes onto say something like it could've been a whale...is there an eralier reference...?

Apple posted an interesting, well maybe just interesting to video and Mac junkies like me, article on how the makers of Trailer Park Boys use Macs to produce the show.

So I downloaded the audio for That Night in Toronto off of iTunes and was putting in the lyrics when I noticed this in the Composer tag:

Gordon Downie, Johnny Fay, Paul Langlois, Rob Baker & Robert Sinclair.

Is that a mistake? Or is Gord's first name actually Robert?
