what's with the hundredth meridian? i can no longer access it....anyone know why this might be?

Hi I'm new to the fanbase but I was just nosing around the site & found the list of singles in Sights & Sounds & thought I might let you all know about a few more I had picked up in TO many years ago... I have a Twist My Arm single w/the album vs, live vs as well as live vs of Blow & Little Bones all recorded May 91 in Holland. I also have Locked in album vs & live which was done w/Courage @ the Horseshoe Sept 92 & then I have Nautical Disaster w/an album vs of it & Pigeon Camera along w/a fantastic vs of New Orleans live which includes a segue into Nautical & Fire in the Hole & back out to New Orleans again - which was live from Another Roadside '93.

I had picked these up @ Sam's on Younge st in TO & these had been in the import singles section.

I make it a priority to return home every Sept to volunteer as a Chase Crew member @ the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta & I love crewing! :lol: :lol: Anybody else a big FG fan? I like this show better than the Simpsons, I didn't a few years ago, but this show has taken over the reigns as the best animated comedy on tv imo. I think the Simpsons is getting worse every year, its still a funny show but I think its time to pull the plug on that show, its run its course. It will go down as one of the funniest shows ever, but I think they are running out of ideas, the last season was awful, I actually had to turn the channel a few times.

Just got back from tonight's show. Amazing! Anyone else from Calgary going to see them this week? They're in town doing five straight nights at the Big Secret Theatre (Epcor Centre). Each night they're playing one of their albums in it's entirety. Tonight they did Whale Music, plus a couple of extra songs for the encore. It was absolutely brilliant! For anybody who's interested, here's what their schedule looks like for the rest of the week:

Ok, the Internet has been giving me some huge issues lately and I'm going grey because of it, so I want to hear everyone's opinions/testimonials.

I've been on DSL nearly since it came out, and have it through the same company I had dialup through -- <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.mnsi.net">www.mnsi.net</a><!-- w --> (Windsor) -- Up until August 2005 I didn't have any problems. But just about all through August I was up and down. Keep in mind August was also the hottest month of the year and I wouldn't be surprised if that had some impact on me. So then after repeated phone calls they supposedly "switched me to a closer station" in September and it seemed like things got better and were Ok, I wasn't getting disconnected, but speed didn't improve either.

Now last Friday morning it went down again, and didn't come back up until Monday night -- that's 3 days down, with no notice, no nothing. I was so fed up that it wasn't up by Saturday I went to the cable company and signed up for that.

So cable comes today and I get everything going, but low and behold, cogeco has some filter (that they don't admit to having) that blocks torrents!!! Well I shouldn't say it blocks them, but only lets them transfer at 1kb/s. Is this normal? Does anyone else have cable and get blocked?

Now I have no clue what to do. Cable blocks torrents and has a bandwidth cap. DSL has no cap but only gives me a max of 1mbps bandwidth while cable does 5mbps steady. I know for a fact that DSL in my area is plain out shitty and unreliable at best. I don't know if I'm too far from the station or if the phone cabling in this area gets eaten by rats, but it sure sucks the big one.

I guess I'm going to stick with DSL because I'll go into withdrawals if I can't access torrents, but it kills me to do it because DSL can go down anytime without notice and there is nothing my ISP can do about it (AFAIK).

How many people love the saides here?
They are in my top 4 bands ever. Amazing live sets and the most unique sound around today.
In my opinion they are the best live band in the world. Sadly, they'll never get bigger than they are now. Ah well.
They are playing on Feb 3-4 at Lee's in Toronto and recording a live album. I'm pretty psyched. Lots of awesome guests.
Is anyone else coming out?
