Are there any other tribute bands other than Almost Hip? I remember seeing one a while ago named Totally Hip or something like that and they actually looked a lot like them, the lead guitarist had long hair and a goatee, the drummer was the shortedt and had the same hair style as Johnny, the singer had bald head on the top and shaved on the sides, and the bassist looked stunningly like Gord, and the rhythm guitarist had a french last name.

What a fantastic book! If you liked "On a Cold Road" and "Tropic of Hockey", this one is just as good. The book is basically a series of hilarious stories about his musicians league rec hockey team in Toronto, mixed in with some amazing anecdotes from former NHL, AHL, and Junior players. I can't put it down!

Not sure if this is the right way to post this type of request...
but I sorta fell off the hip wagon for a year or a bit, but I've recently picked up the box set and That Night In Toronto reminded me of an amazing Hip show I saw in Halifax during their Evening with the Hip tour, I think it was 2000, and the duet Kate Fenner sang with the guys on Yawning or Snarling which will always be one of my fav concert moments of all time.

I'd love to get my hands on a copy of, if not that show, one of the shows from that tour with Yawning or Snarling on the setlist. I've got a few Hip shows, but I really don't do much trading or anything, but from one Hip fan to another/others, I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out through B&P or something.

I've had this mp3/video/game player for a little while now, and I've loved every thing it has to offer. It has terrific playback sound for mp3's, and I have used the video feature a ton. The games you could buy are pretty shitty and a bit expensive, so i haven't gone down that road.

A few days ago, I was browsing around a site (http://www.gmini400.com/)dedicated to this machine and I noticed that someone has programmed an emulator that will play Sega Mater System and Sega Game gear games. I have downloaded about 140 games so far, and they play wonderfully. I also noticed on this site that someone else has programmed a text reader. I downloaded it and it works like a charm. It will only read txt files, but I've already started a file and input a whack of contacts.

This machine just got a whole lot cooler in the span of a few days.

Check out this video of Brazillian soccer star Ronaldinho when he tries on his new "magic cleats" I'm not sure if this even real or not...but it sure looks real. I remember Nike did something like this with LeBron James, but it was nowhere near this cool. They also did the trick video with Tiger Woods a few years ago, that one I know is real at least.

For weeks, I've thought that Texas will win this game, and oddly enough, the feeling is even stronger here on the day of the Rose Bowl. I give the Longhorn defense the edge over that of the Trojans, and also, I think that Texas will play with a bigger chip on its shoulder since it has been virtually written off by the national press over the last month.

Who do you think will be crowned the national champion with a win tonight?
