Ive never written a guitar tab before but this is the little intro part of Lonely End Of The Rink, or at least what I came up with. This is closer to the live version (I.E. no effects)

Has anyone else not received their tickets yet from the regular public onsale for the Toronto shows? Just wondering because I received the ones from the presalse after only a few days, and haven't gotten them from the regular sale yet.

  New Hipbase Radio Show

Hello everyone. My name is Mike Valente. Although I’ve only been a member here at the Hipbase for only a few months, I’ve been a Tragically Hip music fan for many years and have visited this site frequently (now more frequently than ever) for the last 2 years.

I’m here to announce that starting Tuesday October 24th at 8pm, “The Tragically Hip Countdown” will premiere on Hipbase Radio. The premise of the show is exactly how it sounds – I will be counting down different top ten categories about everything Hip. Each show will have a separate theme. An example being counting down the top ten best singles from the band, etc.

Now, how am I going to accumulate this information? One word – you! All the members of the forum will be able to vote throughout the week. The most votes for a song will be the winner and down the ladder we will go. We’re not going to be counting down songs based on facts or record sales, this is all you guys, YOUR vote. Your opinion is the only one that matters. I want to make the listener happy.

The theme of the week will be posted somewhere in this section. Also, in order to keep voting private and confidential, the only way your vote will count is for you to PM me. Afterall, what fun would it be if everyone just posted their votes so everyone could see? There would be no point for the radio show. So I ask you to please follow this rule.


A few other notes…

- All the songs played on the show will be Live versions to avoid copyright issues.

- You will have close to a week to PM me and vote. Voting closes Sunday nights at MIDNIGHT for the Tuesday show.

- I encourage all of you to send me ideas for different categories, but please PM me and don’t post. I’d like to keep everything as much of a surprise as possible.


That’s all for now. I hope everyone likes this idea. Let me know what you think. I’d also like to thank a Mr. Sean Bonner very much for this opportunity. It’s going to take a lot of hard work but with Sean’s attitude and will – we’re going to make this the best thing we can.

Has anyone heard on the radio whether or not this show will be live to air? Usually when they've done something like this in the past it has been, but I see no mention of it on edge.ca whether it is or not.

ok, Dan says he is a big hip fan, but is he on the hipbase?

Also, cfox 99.3 mentioned the hipbase.com many times this morning, should see lots of traffic from that!.
