In need of a list of songs/lyrics (mostly lyrics) that relate to the theme of War, but more specifically civil war. Any help would be appreciated.

GNR - Civil War (Surprising, I know)

The script keeps unfolding. Angelina adopts from Africa, then Madonna does, now Leo Dicaprio got a part in the movie. Who's next? Maybe George Clooney? When is this madness going to stop? When are these people going to step into the real world and outside of their fake lives? When are they going to stop using human lives (babies) as pawns for publicity and treat them like real people?

Looks like the small barn, won't full.
I hope this does not discourage the band.

I'll be in the front row.

Are there any other Rilo Kiley fans on here? I absolutely love this band! Jenny Lewis has the most beautiful voice! :oops: She also did the female parts on Give Up by The Postal Service which is one of the most perfect albums ever produced. For those that don't know, they are a kind of folky/rock band. They have some great tunes. More Adventurous is an amazing album (made even better by the fact that it reminds me of driving round Canada/New York :thumb

A coworker just mentioned she heard the Hip will be playing the Town Ballroom in Buffalo sometime in March. Does this mean the love affair between Buffalo and the Hip is declining? I would hope they would be able to fill the HSBC arena, they did a good job drawing a good crowd at Artpart over the summer and normally do a good job filling Darien Lake. Strange....

Either way I am there!

Hey there,

Anyone here going to the Grande Prairie, Alberta show on Jan 13th? I'm going but I'm afraid that the show will be ruined by the general boorish drunken riff-raff representative of the standard Grande Prairie population. The kind of people whose favourite Hip songs are NOIS, Boots or Hearts, and Highway Girl and who have never heard any Tragically Hip CD released after "Fully Completely". I'm scared.

Well, I was incredibly ill since the beginning of the summer. I was pretty much housebound and couldn't even get up the energy to get out of bed and do "normal" things like lift weights (I have a "mini-gym" in my basement and went from 4-5 days a week to 0) or even walk across my room to pick up my guitar.

That said, I know that this isn't exactly the place to be sharing personal info, so I'll get to the point:

Obviously, following the club tour was about the last thing on my mind over the last few months and I haven't bothered to check on what I missed since I've been feeling better. However, a buddy of mine tells me today that they played Fiddler's Green a couple of months ago in Calgary. I told him that he must be mistaken, that they've never played it and probably never will. So, I come on here to prove him wrong and, pardon my language, but holy sweet mericful fuck, he was right!

RA was the first Hip album I ever owned and FG was the one song that really made me a die-hard. Hopefully they'll play it again and I'll be there.

Anyway, since I've been out of the loop for so long, can someone fill me on any other rarities they've been busting out over the last several months? I see they're playing OTV again, which is nice. :thumb:
