I was just wondering how many people actually pull out a shirt from an old tour and wear it to a Hip show?

Tonight in Red Deer I'll be sporting my Red Hip jersey, my 50 mission cap and Also a trag beltbuckle. Is that too Much Hip?

Was looking on ticketmaster.com and some of the US dates including, most noteably for me, Seattle, show "Internet Pre-sales". The Moore Theatre in Seattle showing one at 10:00am PST on Wednesday and a "General Public" sale on Friday.

Anyone know who will be opening the US shows? Particularly Detroit?

So is this total blasphemy? I'm totally sick of hearing this song live and I think it needs to be put to bed. It used to be a great live song because they would always jam it out, play other songs in the middle (such as on the Scared single version where they play Fire in the Hole and Nautical Disaster) and you got to hear glimpses of new songs. Now they just rip through it, and it's nothing special. Personally, I find it a really boring and overplayed song compared to their other stuff. They have so many great songs they could do live instead. I suppose they have to pander to their non-hardcore fans, but I have to say the two club gigs I saw in Calgary were they best shows I've ever seen, and NOIS wasn't played at either one.

I know it is just a fantasy, but how cool would it be for the band to completely switch up the play lists...

I am think of a concert that features a certain theme.

eg) songs about animals

potential setlist:

1. The Bear
2. Gus
3. Tiger
4. Penguin
5. Pigeon Camera
6. Lionized
7. Dire Wolf
8. Sharks
9. Werewolf

I realize that they could not do an entire show on this catalougue but a show that strings all of these together would be effing sweet!

It would awesome to see a tour that has a different theme each night. The fans would have to guess the theme...

i may be filming this im just sketchy on getting gear taken away.
i know the hip let fans record or film, but does security at venues know that? especially in toronto at the ACC i bet the security will take recorders even though the band allows it.

A record of a homecoming is on the way home. Material culled from a pair of Neil Young solo concerts at Toronto's Massey Hall almost 36 years ago is set for a March release. Previously available in bootleg form as Going Back to Canada, the live album captures an enigmatic singer-songwriter at his career's early creative peak.

Young was a star rising, not much more than 24, when he introduced Old Man at Massey Hall as "a new song." On Jan. 19, 1971, with friends and proud family in attendance, the youthful brooder played two sold-out concerts, part of the Journey Through the Past solo tour that began in Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre and ended, in late February, at London, England's Royal Festival Hall.
