I was just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with this? I finally got it finished today, but after the hash check, it started downloading again from 35%! :? I checked the files, and I tried writing the first disc to DVD as there seemed to be enough data there (4.12 GB). However, when I tried it in my DVD player, it did work but kept stalling.

According to my BT client, I have downloaded all (if not more of the files - being slightly over would account for the dropped data), but it seems to still need another 5 GB's from somewhere!



I've had limited access to my computer in order to download it, and I don't really know what to do. I'd really love to get a copy of this as I was at the show - but downloading the files again would completely destroy my (already slightly procarious) ratio. Does anyone have any suggestions, or could someone maybe do me a B&P of the discs perhaps?

Sorry to be asking for help again, but I really have no idea what to do.

Tonight when i was tat the local universtiy bar, the live band played two Tragically Hip songs, back to back (wheat Kings and ABAC), and then in their"intermission", Boots Or Hearts & Vaccination Scar & Last Night I Dreamed You Didnt' love Me were playedd. I said fuckin' eh. Everyone else was confused. Not as good as the peg tonight, but at least its something!

You may think my question dumb- but do you think Gord mispoke intentionally to prove his "human beings are fallible" remark or was it an honest mistake? Has anyone heard him use this same intro for Wheat Kings?

This happened to me today: I bought Wintersleep's Untitled album... and some girl is singing Christmas music on it.

This has happened to me before as well: I bought Bob Dylan's 'Love And Theft' and Time Out Of Mind was on it.

Wouldn't it be cool if The Hip took all the songs they've covered on this tour, and put them on 1 album...????

To all those highly experience tapers and editors - I require some help/advice if you'd be so kind.

I've been doing some experimenting with audacity today. I've brought in some audio samples from a couple of mini-disc masters I have from some shows I taped last year (these were edited and encoded by a friend for me), with a jack-to-jack analog lead into the input in the back of my machine. I was just wondering what settings I need to be working too. I recorded a minute and a half long sample, in stereo @ 44.1KHz/32 bit. These sounded great, but when I exported the wav file, it was 18.3 MB. Obviously, and hour and something long show is going to be huge! Is it possible/advisable to initially bring the master in at these settings, and then change them down afterwards to something a bit smaller like 16 Bit, or should I make the master 16 bit to begin with? - Does that make sense?

Also, is it best to have the output volume on the mini-disc player on full as it exports, and then adjust it in Audacity afterwards? I'd assume it was - but I'm not sure.

Basically, if anyone could offer some advice as to what sort of defaults etc I should be working to to get the best results, It'd be much appriciated. I'm pretty new to the editing side of things (hence the fairly nonsensical post), but I'm keen to learn!
