Now wouldn't that be cool. I'd almost want a DVD from this tour more than the one from Hipenonymous.

Anyways, probably not very likely, but I thought perhaps to start a threat about thoughts?

Here are Gordon's Canadian tour dates for spring 2007.

5/10 Harbour Station, Saint John, NB
5/11 Moncton Coliseum, Moncton, NB
5/12 Metro Centre, Halifax, NS
5/13 Membertou Trade & Convention Centre, Sydney, NS
5/15 Mile One Centre, St. John's, NF

Now, I ask you, would a 55 dollar ticket to see a 68 year old Lightfoot be worth it? He is a living legend, but also, can he still perform? I realize that this show would be low energy, and for me and my financial situation, I'm not sure the ticket price would be worth it. Has anybody else seen him recently and knows what his shows are like?

And why? just wondering.

I remember alot of people loving Gord's "save the humans" t-shirt with the whale on it. I just happen to be at the mall tonight and at American Eagle they have a shirt similar, its kinda cool, but not exactely like Gordys..

Just thought Id share, my wife was asking me why I was laughing so hard when I saw it, I had to explain. Thats my Hip experience for today.

The Fox in Vancouver just played the entire Highway Girl Double Murder Suicide version. Uncut!! Awesome!! "This cheap f***ing apartment"

The DJ Neil Morrison then came on and explained how The Hip were the best live act there was between 1989-1993 or '94.

Lots of reunion rumors going round Zep/VH …so who would you like to see reunite – with out invoking the Lazarus clause and resurrecting dead rock stars to tour with their bands…
- to see the Smiths reunite for a tour would be very cool (like the Pixies did a couple of years ago) I know it is a long shot as according to Wiki Morrissey would rather eat his own testicles than re-form The Smiths

who do I talk to about adding a couple of songs to older playlists?

I was at the Camrose show and I just noticed the playlist has a couple of
???.

I can tell you that Bobcaygeon was played as well as Blow at High Dough. Good Damn what a fine day in life that was...

....at a venue called John F. Savage Hall? The venue is reserved seating only.

I know they played there -- I was in attendance, second-row / center. But I cannot find any documentation of the show anywhere. And of course, I don't have my stub.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was probably the Phantom Power tour, perhaps the winter of 1998-1999? I do remember Gord using the circular base of his mic stand as a prop for an imaginary steering-wheel. He was pretending to drive, all slunk back in the seat with one hand over the wheel and the other on the headrest of the passenger seat......during "Vapour Trails", maybe? And I remember him looking over at Paul and shouting "Get in, Paul, GET IN!"

Anyone?

I loved it! Not sure if it will win Best Picture, but it definetly deserved its nomination.

This isn't a movie for a lazy and tired Sunday afternoon. You need to go in awake and aware and reading to read some subtitles.
Still, its an amazing flick. Some of the visual effects are equally phenomenal.
