  Poor Old Montreal - studio recording?

Sorry if this is a ghey first post.....

But does anyone know if there is a studio recording of Poor Old Montreal available? I had heard it was recorded for one of their albums but never released. I've heard the live version actually recorded in Montreal and while it's great, I'd love to hear the studio version for comparison.

This to me is one of those songs that really symbolizes what the Hip can do - good music/melody to start with, something uniquely Canadian, then really touching lyrics.

  Going to my first Hip show--what should I expect?

This may not be the place to admit this, but I will be attending my very first Hip show on April 12 at the State Theater in Detroit. (I have to admit that I've only been listening to the Hip for a little over a year, but have been completely obsessed with them during that span and am doing everything I can to make up for lost time). Anyway, having admitted that, I'm asking the experienced Hip fans what I should expect at my first Hip show. (Let me also say that I'm an American--I live in Lansing, Michigan). I'll be going to the show with my wife (I'm kind of dragging her along hoping that she'll become a convert). I'm also 38 years old and feeling like an old fogie when it comes to attending rock concerts (I tend to get much easier annoyed by crowds than I did as a younger lad). Anyway, any advice, suggestions, or insight you more experience Hip fans can provide would be much appreciated. Thanks!

well i just got off the phone with the events manager at the general motors centre, and they told me that no video and audio equipment are allowed at the show tomorrow and that they have not been informed by the bands management or anyone that it is allowed.

just a heads up so no one gets their stuff taken away. i am gonna sneak in a good digital camera though so ill make a slideshow or something and also still attempt to record the show in audio.

this is dumb because i should have posted this before last night. Well anyways last night on my weekly radio show, "interstellar overdrive" monday nights 10pm-midnight on <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.theriotradio.com">www.theriotradio.com</a><!-- w -->, we did a big tribute to the tragically hip of course for the big oshawa show wednesday night where they are going to play the trickle down haha.
We played save the planet, luv (sic), 700 ft ceiling, evelyn, freak turbulence, the darkest one, opiated, trickle down, fire in the hole, an album side of road apples from bring it all back to the end of the record, and probably a few others. was gonna play some crack my spine like a whip, the radio show without the drums from 94 95? the fast version of so hard done by and some tracks from their 1985 copper penny show (cuz we can we're only online) but we ran out of time. maybe next week theres always hip going on.
