Blue Rodeo's new album "1000 Arms" comes out tomorrow, October 28th. The Jan/Feb 2017 Canadian Tour tickets go on sale tomorrow as well and each ticket comes with a free album download. A few months ago, when talking about the album and Gord Downie, Jim Cuddy said,
“He's a magnificent guy and he’s been an incredible contributor to our world. Every so often it hits us, every so often it hit us when we were recording …,” Cuddy says, before revealing that it did makes its way into the music. “There are a few lines, but no there are no songs that are written (about that). There is one specific line that is specifically a tribute to Gord,” he says. Can't say the first single (below) is love at first listen for me. Seems like a direct attempt at scoring radio play with a Katy Perry-like chorus. Ah well, I'll be there in February anyway as these guys are not a live band to be missed.

Anyone have this saved as MP3?

Hey, I am looking for the blueprint poster from the 2013 now for plan A tour. I had this and it has disappeared on me. I went to the Kingston show and would love to get this back and frame it for my wall. Please, anyone ? Can trade or pay cash.
Appreciate it.
Haven't read anything on these yet so...
Got home last weekend after a 3wk MTB trip to CO & UT, lots of records waiting for me.
Just opened UTH & RA. MOV in the runout.
Happy with my MOV RA but not UTH (tried 2 copies).
Hopefully the UTH will be better quality.
Also bought (again) FC(2014 -3rd copy for me) & WATS($20 at musicvaultz) , never happy with mine, fingers crossed.
Will get update in a few days after I've played 'em.
Big conipshit on stevehoffman forums - (my) 2016 Pink Floyd WYWH remaster is a 2011 repress! OMFG!!!

Looking for Canada Day Fully and Completely show from Molson Amp. Was my first Hip show and would love to be able to have a copy of it
it's hallowe'en, & I think we have a winner:
Anyone read Joseph Boyden's Wenjack yet? I picked it up for $10 at Chapters since it was on the shelf right next to Secret Path. At about 100 pages in a pocket-sized novella form it's quite short, enough that the $10 price tag feels more like a donation to Camp Onakawana, his First Nations charity of choice for the proceeds (and I have no problem with that). It's about a 25 minute read. Boyden does a great job of fleshing out the story of Chanie and it makes for a good companion to Secret Path if Chanie's story is something that interests you. Also, just a quick plug for Boyden's Three Day Road and Through Black Spruce... two of the best books written by a Canadian author in the past 10 years, or maybe ever.
I've been wondering about the tunings for a couple of Hip tunes for a while now.....Eldorado, and Cordelia. I'm speaking of Paul's guitar part in Cordelia - is it standard tuning, or some kind of open tuning? Same for Eldorado - listening to the live version from the Fully Completely reissue live disc 2, I'm wondering if it is also in an open tuning. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Anybody going to watch tonight?
