Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with a trade or a reseed of the Weert DVD from 2006. I'm on a mission to collect all the Summer Fling '06 DVD's (because they're amazing!) and I missed this one when it was originally on the tracker.

so a heavy, heavy rumour that van halen is playing the yearly RIM party...nov. 15 at the acc.

i've heard from more than one person that they heard the hip is on the bill as well. i'd classify that a longshot, personally, but two non-connected people said they heard it and i ain't about to argue. by non-connected i mean to each other, not to inside info or whatever.

(ps...i saw the first halen show in toronto...was HORRENDOUS...david lee roth is an embarrassment...the sammy/mikey show in detroit last friday destroyed it.)

Was listening to this today, and I just want to say.
Wow.
Ten Years after its release, and its still fresh. I remember somebody posting once, saying they didn't own Live Between Us, because they collect bootlegs and have all the albums. What a terrible decision.

If anybody ever asks for a starting point to get into the Hip, everytime, I'll recommend Live Between Us.

What a magical night in Detroit.

I was just thinking that this should be a friendly reminder to everyone to pop this in and give it a listen, cranked up damn loud. I can't say enough good things about this release. It simply kicks ass.

Eric Lindros is announcing his retirement today. Lots of debate going on.
Looking back over his career, I remember watching him and being amazed. I don't think the hockey world had seen (or has since) a player that could
do the things he did. He could do everything. In my mind, he's an absolute certainty for the Hall of Fame. It was scary how dominant he was. The goals, that shot, the passes, the hits, the fights. Those who got to see him play were fortunate...a freight train on skates who could score with the best of them. Here's to the Big E...thanks for the memories!

Have you ever encountered someone and just thought "what a dumbass"?
Well, now we have a thread for it.

My coworker works nights at Geico (a car insurance company)
The other day this guy calls up and he just bought a brand new car and he wants to put full collision/liability on it.
Well this means he has to come in to have pictures taken of the car to make sure there is no prexisting damage.

Yesterday arrives and this guy comes with his entire family to have the picture taken. The entire family is dressed in their Sunday Best because of the picture (suit, tie, fancy dresses, etc...) The guy thought that he had to bring his family down for a picture for some reason - and he had them dress to the nines.
AND to top it off, he did not even drive down in the NEW CAR.

I'm sitting here reminiscing about all those truly amazing and special shows I've attended... Whats your top 5 list? Here's mine:

1) Toronto, Fort York (2006-06-24) 38 years old !!! Sherpa, Well Go Too, Greasy, Chagrin, Daddy opener, Something On, Puttin Down.... EPIC SHOW
2) Bala, The Kee (2007-07-05) Cordelia!!! Thugs, THE VENUE... The Boys were jamming too hard, plus I met Rob before the show... just a memorable night
3) Barrie, Molson Park - Edgefest (2003-09-06) - Looking For A Place To Happen!!! DD, 50, Jet, Boots, First Taste of IBE, Locked - Crazy setlist - Crazy day
4)Toronto, The Phoenix (2006-10-23) - Pigeon Camera!!! The Intimate Venue - Only regret is not missing the exam that prevented me from going to all four instead of 2...
5)Guelph, GRCA (2006-06- 18) - Crazy day, Great Festy - Beautiful Venue - Unreal setlist - Elderado, The Rules, Gems, Lionized...
