Barenaked Ladies' Singer Walks from Plane Crash

Ed RobertsonBarenaked Ladies' frontman -- not the one just busted for drugs -- Ed Robertson survived a plane crash early this morning north of Bancroft, Ontario by the skin of his barenaked butt.

Sgt. Jeff Mackinnon of the Bancroft OPP told the Intelligencer, "At 12:30 PM a Cessna 206 was taking off from Baptiste Lake, lost airspeed and entered a wooded area west of the lake." Mackinnon said all four passengers, including Ed, walked out of the woods and then reported the crash.

The Intelligencer's sources say Ed was piloting his own float-plane -- the kind with pontoons -- but police won't release any details because an investigation by Canada's Transportation Safety Board is underway.

I have a pair of weekend passes for V Fest Toronto. $320 plus shipping, which if you live somewhere between Port Elgin and the GTA, is unecessary.

I am currently in the planning stages of a unique Tragically Hip music project which will be posted in the Tragically Hip music Discussion forum. I predict that this project will excite the Hipbase community, and help bridge the gap until the release of the next Hip album.

Still, the band has remained on the relative outskirts of the U.S. music scene, despite rising to rock immortality in its native Canada.

After 1989's Up To Here, The Tragically Hip couldn't find an arena in Canada big enough to hold it, selling out shows while attracting a raucous army of fans. The band has released 10 full-length albums of bare-bones rock 'n' roll, as well as the 2005 box set Hipeponymous, which arrived on the heels of The Tragically Hip's induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Its newest studio disc is last year's World Container.

Hey all,

I just recently got out of the ancient times of dial up internet access (yes it still exists in places) and finally moved into an area with high speed........

Anyways, I am new to the whole Bot Torrent downloading, but from what i can tell, most of the good sites are private and require an invite.

Can anyone here recommend a good site, or possibly have a spare invite to one??
