Hey does anyone know/suspect if The Hip will release another single to the radios or through their site before the album comes out? Morning Moon is not playing on the radios from what Ive heard.. Just trying to remember if "In View" was the only single out before the album was released.
So anxious for the album, and my 2 Kitchener shows, any rumours or info would be sick thanks
Hey, just seeing how many people on here are going to the NYC show on
May 8...thinkin about going, send me a message if you are
I recently relocated to Brooklyn from Ann Arbor, MI. I had a car then, so travel to a second or third Hip show (in Cleveland or Toledo or wherever) was easy, plus the Hip were/are usually good for a couple of gigs in Detroit. Now I'm carless in Brooklyn and I'd love to see a second show on this tour, either in Philly on 5/7 (the night before their NY gig) or in Boston on 5/9. Any other Brooklyn hip fans out there interested in sharing the ride/expenses to either of those shows? Post a response here and let's figure the details out.
I have a single ticket in the second row available and a single ticket in the 5th row available.
Face Value of course. Let me know.
New to the board and trading. Dont have much to offer.
Would love if someone could kick start my Hip dvd collection and do a B&P with me.
REALLY looking for the marymoor 07 show on dvd. My girlfriend and I had our fingers in Gords mouth at that show, would love to see it. Any other shows would be a bonus.....
Any commodore 2006 footage around?
thanks a bunch....and hello.
I cant find them anywhere.. help me out :music
Time for yet another useless poll. YAY!!!
What's your favorite closer?
ok...i think my second or third post here.
I was away this week on business in Mexico City and time challenged to check into this forum.
I want to know if LIAF is getting some decent radio play?
Imnsho (in my not so humble opinion - if I may start an aconym?); this is an absolute gem of a tune...takes me back to the days when I insisted in having the hip in my hockey teams warm up tunes down in New Hampshire. Gets you going and makes you think.
this song, if they so desire has hit written all over it...!
btw, i got my tix for NYC and Boston and am bidding on some charity tix in Toronto - grat cause and in first 5 rows ar Massey - great venue!...and will make it to Kitchener.
thanks to the hip for staying the course and taking us on a musical adventure through rugby pants and cowboy boots an big hair to the place we are today!
can't wait for the rest and please let me know how it's doing on the radio...and it should be the best selling CD in Canada on April 8th and that is simple math!
Cheers, EK
Thanks in advance all you hip fans for reading this. I am in dire (wolf) need of some assistance. I purchased tickets for the Detroit shows and thought that I was buying (2) tickets for each show (both Friday and Saturday).
Unfortunately, I must not have had my coffee yet---because I ended up buying two sets of (2) tickets---both for the Saturday show. These are awesome tickets and I'm looking to trade for equal value tickets to the Friday show.
Can anyone help me? These are mezzanine seats. Please respond and let me know.
Thanks in advance for your help. I'd prefer to trade if possible, but if someone wants to buy the tickets for face value--so that I can re-invest the money in the Friday show---that'd be fine with me too.

Outliers is a non-fiction book written by Malcolm Gladwell and published by Little, Brown and Company on November 18, 2008. In Outliers, Gladwell examines the factors that contribute to high levels of success. To support his thesis, he examines the causes of why the majority of Canadian ice hockey players are born in the first few months of the calendar year, how Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates achieved his extreme wealth, and how two people with exceptional intelligence, Christopher Langan and J. Robert Oppenheimer, end up with such vastly different fortunes. Throughout the publication, Gladwell repeatedly mentions the "10,000-Hour Rule", claiming that the key to success in any field is simply a matter of practicing a specific task for a total of 10,000 hours. Gladwell, a writer for The New Yorker, usually focuses on composing non-fiction articles, which sometimes pass as memes into the popular imagination. He wrote two books before Outliers, both of which went on to become best-sellers: The Tipping Point (2000) and Blink (2005).
After I read this book I could not stop thinking about the Hip. At what point do you think they reached 10,000 hours?
