Playing a free show down at Yonge & Dundas Square Sunday June 7th as part of Luminato all-star celebration of slide guitar styles from around the world. He's an incredible player and it's free. Starts at 9pm. Daniel Lanois will be playing at 4:30 as well.

Okay ladies.. (and gentlemen, feel free to comment, as well..)

What is it about Gordon Downie that makes him so damn irresistible? There's always been something sexy about him, and lately I've been trying to figure out exactly what it is..

Don't know if it's his mysterious demeanor, his facial expressions, the way he sings and rants, or what. Having been a Hip follower for about 9 years now, I still don't know what it is about that man. Either way, I want to know if it's just me, and if not - what it is about him that keeps you coming back for more.

After being front row at House of Blues in Cleveland, and front row at Artpark on Thursday night, I feel like I can't get enough! (And am kicking myself for telling my husband "no" to tonight's show at Artpark when they went on sale!)

Maybe it was when he looked me straight in the eye on Thursday during The Last Recluse and sang "In the night, I watch a bomb go off in a young girl's life."

Just a side note to the men, don't worry - I'm a true Hip fan that loves them for their music and performances first and foremost, and that is truly what keeps me coming back for more. However, I need to get down to the bottom of this. And for the record, I will admit that I love Billy Ray simply because he is hot and because he punched that drunk asshole last night!

So, let me know what you think..

My mother lives in a condo community that backs onto an open field - unclaimed, unimproved land. For the last 14 years the residents of her community have routinely dumped their grass and yard clippings in the field. My mom has a lawn/yard care company take care of her property so she's never had reason to go into the field. Until last night. One of the mini hedges in her garden died so she cut it out, chopped it into small pieces and went over to the field to dispose of it.

On her way back she was confronted by a man who got right in her face, put his hand in her face to stop her from talking and/or walking away and then verbally assaulted her - questioning her about who she is, why she is there, etc, etc.

My mom is five feet tall, weighs 102lbs and wouldn't hurt a fly. The man is six feet tall, retired, well-heeled, and an ass.

Another neighbour was brought to tears listening to this man attack my Mom - she couldn't even come out an help. A couple of the other neighbours saw my mom walking home, crying and shaken, and came out to find out what happened. They "had a talk" with the jerk, but I'm still pissed.

I live in Toronto, she's in Kingston, and she just called me to tell me about what a terrible week she had. What should I do about this jerk?

The Juno Hall of Fame performance.
They rocked the shit out of both songs that night!!
