I was just reading this interview with Julie Doiron and came across an interesting tidbit near the end of the article:
"Doiron began her music career with Maritime rock band Eric's Trip before teaming with Ottawa's Wooden Stars, winning a Juno Award for her album Julie Doiron and the Wooden Stars in 2000. Meanwhile, she and guitarist Fred Squire will continue touring the new album until spring, when they join Attack in Black's Dan Romano for a quick tour of their delightful folk album Daniel, Fred & Julie. Doiron will then back The Tragically Hip's Gord Downie on his new solo tour next summer."
I'm guessing this means a new Gord solo album is on the horizon.
Here's the full interview:

wow! after playing 'yer favorites' to a nub recently I threw on' evolution 'disk and was blown away. The first 5 tracks of that disk can open any show anywhere any time.--Heaven,Summer,Vaccination,Gus,Nashville throw in Makeshift,One night in copenhagen ,and goodnight josephine, and you have a show I would pay for. Very underrated disk

I'm sorry if this sounds smug or if appreciative, as it is quite the opposite. I enjoy listening to recordings of The Tragically Hip almost daily (I may download the new Hamilton show later this week!).
I was just curious if anybody knows what shows have been recorded and what shows are going to be released on The Tracker. I understand that some tapers are a part of almost their own little tapers corner or "club" or whatever it can be called. I also understand that it is every tapers right not to share their recordings if they choose not to. I am just curious if there is a list that says if shows were taped and if they are going to be released or something to that affect.
Keep 'em coming. I love them!
I may actually go listen to my copy of their show in Victoria from this tour now! :music
I'm not sure if there's any way to search for this information on the site but I'm curious when was the last time the Hip played anything from their EP?
When was the last time the band did not play at least one of these songs at a show? PISTOLS,LOCKED,FULLY,BONES,GIFT???????? ans. below
Sadly for me this past thursday in albany.
Didn't think I could make this show originally, and now it's sold out - so if anybody has an extra to get rid of pls let me know.
Thanks,
Steve

In the past, when the boys have done New Years shows, they have often come after a few weeks off during a tour or between legs. I notice that the European dates stop in early December, which made me wonder if anyone had heard any New Years rumblings for this year. I figure thats a nice 3 week holliday layoff before a show, probably somewhere close to home.
I vote somewhere in the Buffalo region, should they decide to play on the 31st this year
