Canada lost one of its best writers last week. A genuine, funny human being whose penchant for remarkable works of art might have only been surpassed by his love of this beautiful game (head shots and referee scandals be damned).

Hockey Night In Canada stepped it up this week by paying tribute to Paul Quarlington during its opening montage before the early games. The soundtrack: Dope Friends and Boozehounds by the Rheostatics.

Cheers,

Pat

If you were to write an episode of Seinfeld...what would some of your story ideas/plot lines be for each character?

I'm familiar with the last season of Curb and what they did for the "reunion"...but I need new ideas in a present day mindset.

This is for a class at school...we have to emulate a tv show with an original script. Appreciate some responses!

Quote:During the second period when Scrivens skates down to defend the other net in front of the pep band, they treat him to a 10-second blast of one of his favorite songs, “New Orleans Is Sinking,” by the Tragically Hip. Scrivens will tip his goalie stick at the band, then return to what he does best, protect this house.
