My god, that was one of the longest shows I've seen in a long time. On at 10:45pm, finished at 12:35am! There were two encores. Right at the end of the first encore he encouraged us to chant "Let's Play More"!
Poor Gord. The sweat was pouring off him in that sweat box. So much so that in Yellow Days, he forgot the line "swear to Johnny Cash". He made up for it by saying its okay if you sweat like Johnny Cash.
He also injured himself on the first song, and must've messed up at least 5 songs over the night! It just shows that he's human. It was also the first night with TCOM where I've seen him emerge more as the frontman he portrays with the Hip, walking around the stage, making gestures, etc.
Highlight for me was Chancellor (for Will).
I'll post some pics (not great ones), when I get them uploaded.

Hey Guys,
Noticed that the forum has slowed a bit because the Hip are taking a break this summer, so I have an interesting question to ask. The song Long Time Running seems like quite a touching song to me personally though it does not particularly relate to me personally. Im just wondering what you guys think the meaning of the song is (meaning behind the lyrics). I know its a shot in the dark, because Gord is a very inspired man, but i would be interested in hearing what you all have to say, for conversation sake!

Roger Waters and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd performed an unexpected charity gig last night in support of the HOPING Foundation.
It was the first time the pair had performed on stage together since the Live 8 concert in London on July 2, 2005.
They played ‘To Know Him Is To Love Him’ by The Teddy Bears, ‘Wish You Were Here’, ‘Comfortably Numb’ and ‘Another Brick In The Wall (Part Two)
Never thought I'd see the day again. Those lucky bastards.
I'm selling this for $500,what you see is what you get.Pm if Interested. Thanks.
Downie and company are performing tonight at 6:00.
But from 2:15-3:45 today Downie & TCOM, Jim Bryson, Sarah Harmer, and The Weakerthans are all doing something together.
Can anyone shed some light on "Too Close For Comfort" for me?

Good morning, maybe a waste of god for saken space but I find this gig cool, the first few songs might usually end up on th back end, possibly.Strange setlist, or I don't view sets much. Fucing excellent gig!
Thanx Mav!
Meant to say, not fully but the next 3
Lots of Dave Matthwes haters in here, I realize that, but anyways, I just got a text from a pal of mine who heard that Dave Matthews might possibly be playing the Nashville North tent tomorrow night. Doesn't seem like that can possibly be true but who the hell knows?? According to the DMB site they have no date that night but are playing a P.A. show on Friday.
Anyone in Calgary hear this rumour?
