I managed to get a seat in the front row, which suprised me as I thought all of the first few rows were for the dinner package people. It was nice to be able to claim your seat with a sticker, then leave for a bit and wander before the show knowing that your seat was safe.

I really enjoyed Robyn Dell'Unto again. To me, she sounds like Lisa Loeb and/or Lights, but with a lot more funny/nervous banter before and during her songs. She's got talent, but I'm not sure if there is something that really sets her apart from all the other solo female artists already out there.

Tonight's show seemed better than Friday night's. The guys seemed more relaxed and comfortable, and the crowd was more tame with no yellers. Must have been that sterner warning we got before the show.

At the start of Vancouver Divorce Gord forgot the words, so he asked if anyone knew them. A guy ("Dan") at the back jumps up, runs down to the stage and ends up singing the song. Of course, he didn't really know the words either.

Everything else was great. This was a real showcase for me, and it was a real treat to experience this the past two nights.

I got a chance to meet Gord after the show. Honestly, he, the Hip guys, their crew, and the TCOM folks, have got to be the nicest people in the industry. Dale knew I was waiting for him, so when he came out the two of them walked over to me, he signed the lyrics to Vancouver Divorce (CMG book), then proceeded to talk for about 5 mins about the show, Friday night's show and how he wasn't impressed with the annoying drunk guy, and how much he enjoyed the two nights. Its times like that when you wish you could tape record the conversation.

BTW, he signed Van Divorce: "Sarah, thanks for the tele-prompter (3hrs too late!). Darn, I should have pulled the book out right away!

Anyone on here livin inVictoria? Where is the best place for sushi? and anyone know how I can grab a little willie?

With this album lagging a wee bit, I've be listening to alot of Hip lately to ease my aching clock,no offence to the Boys, just got used to a album rolling out by now,moreless. If you newbies haven't checked out Live from the Vault 2 and 4, go get em, they are amazing shows. I love Grace,too from Stubbs!!!

In 2003, Pearl Jam was on tour. They saw a 3 night stand coming up in Mansfield (just outside of Boston). so, they decided to try something a little different. Over the 3 nights, they would play EVERY song that they had played on tour, with no repeats. It got dubbed "The Experiment". The first 2 shows were long, but they still had 44 songs to play night 3. So, they did a 12 song acoustic set BEFORE the opening act, then still did a long full set. Then, all 3 sets were released as official bootlegs.

I bought all 3 and strung them together on my iPod, and it is just amazing having every big song, obscure b-side and a bunch of covers in one huge live set with no repitition.

But every time I hear it, I just think about how amazing it would be if the Hip ever did this. They have such a deep catalog, it would be great to have a set like that for fan...

On a related note, any word on more "live from the vault" concerts being released?

Looking for 2 tickets to Gords Saturday show at Jackson Triggs.

Who wants to humor me on the optimism front, and hope that the boys are taking this entended break before the final two tour dates to jam, play some songs, maybe write a bit, and rework the setlist for the last 2 shows?

Or, they are just resting and relaxing with family. Why bother straying for only 2 shows.

Any thoughts....
