I was out of town for a couple weeks.
I get back and head to the record store - they have a big Hip placard in the front window today.
I ask if I can have it - and they say OK, but it will be about $6.00. Um, OK.
This is a beautiful print on 1/4 inch thick cardboard. I kinda lucked out.
What is the best free DVD burning software you have come across? I use Nero Start Smart but, the issue I have is I can't use the DVD menu to select/play a song. I need to play the whole show and just fast forward if needed. Also, most Hip DVD's I've downloaded are not in 5.1 sound. Is that just the way they were recorded or is that something to do with my burning software?

The 2013 Conference on the Environment is slated to kick off in Buffalo on Thursday, Oct. 3, at the Adam's Mark Hotel when Gord Downie - frontman for The Tragically Hip - presents an evening of song and conversation on the environment. Tickets are available to the public for $25 and can be purchased through the 2013 Conference on the Environment website, coe2013.org. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper.
Although Downie, pictured, is best known for his music, over the years he has become a strong advocate for protecting the Great Lakes and for people's water rights. As a member of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, much of Downie's environmental activism has been focused on the Canadian side of Lake Ontario. However, the health of the Great Lakes has no political boundaries, nor does citizens' rights to protect the largest source of fresh water on earth.
Downie's performance will be the highlight of the 2013 Conference on the Environment. His passion for the environment, translated into eclectic performance, will inspire the audience to examine its actions from a more ecological perspective as Downie explores what he considers "one of the great loves of our lives" - the environment.
Doors open at 6 p.m., when the Western New York Environmental Alliance will showcase the work of environmental organizations from across the region. Downie will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
"An Evening with Gord Downie" is sponsored by the New York State Association of Conservation Commissions, New York State Association of Environmental Management Councils, the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, and the Niagara Region Integrated Community Planning Department. It is made possible through the contributions of Ecology and Environment Inc., The Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo, and National Grid.
The 2013 Conference on the Environment is a program of NYSACC and NYSAEMC, and has been brought to Buffalo thanks to a partnership with the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning and the Niagara Region Integrated Community Planning Department. The conference will take place Oct. 3-5 at the Adam's Mark Hotel in downtown Buffalo. It is dedicated to helping the public and those in the environmental and allied fields respond to environmental opportunities and challenges relevant to communities across the U.S. and Canada.
Registration is $120 and includes all conference sessions, select meals, and a ticket to "An Evening with Gord Downie." For full conference details, visit coe2013.org.

Hi All,
It looks like my girlfriend will be unable to make it to Vancouver, so I have a single for all shows. 1st row LC for the 9th, 2nd Row RC for the 10th and 1st row LC for the 12th. Just looking to get back the cost of the tickets. THey are all great seats, but you will have to sit beside me

A snow day in Southern Ontario, this show almost didn't happen for me. Thanks to my good friend Matt who drive an hour South through the storm to my place with his 4-wheel drive, and then another hour back North to the show.
