Are there any venues The Hip haven't played that you always thought would make for a memorable and unique experience? Or are there any venues that they haven't hit in a while that you'd love to see them at again?

Hometown bias, but the Imperial Theater in Saint John is a gorgeous venue. Although by Hip standards it is small, its architecture is gorgeous and its presence in this city is mighty. Have always thought it would a be a great fit, especially now that they've changed their liquor policy has been changed and tailored for the 21st century!

Wondering if there is a forum or topic somewhere that explores peoples thoughts on meaning of some of Gordie's lyrics?

Had a chance to catch Downie/Sadies at a Rock The Line awareness gig this afternoon. They did 4 songs (Maybe 5?) all from their collab album. And let me tell you, they sounded friggin' fantastic. Hard-nosed stuff. The first song in particular sounded reminiscent of Day For Night.

I spoke briefly with Downie after the set, he confirmed the record will be out in the spring.

Many thanks to Tthip for recording this show and allowing me to work on preparing it for circulation.

This is a fantastic audience recording. I've never heard Bobcaygeon played this way before, and that alone is worth the download.

The 2013 Conference on the Environment is slated to kick off in Buffalo, New York on Thursday, October 3rd at the Adam's Mark Hotel when Gord Downie--front man
for the band, The Tragically Hip--performs a remarkable Evening of Music & Conversation. Tickets are available to the public for just $25. The show begins at

Although Gord Downie is best known for his music, over the years he has become a strong advocate for protecting the Great Lakes and for people's water rights. As
a member of Lake Ontario Waterkeeper, much of Gord's environmental activism has been focused on the Canadian side of Lake Ontario. However, the health of the
Great Lakes has no political boundaries, nor does our right to protect the largest source of fresh water on the planet.
