It's a long shot but I thought I'd check on here to see if anyone is interested in 2 tickets to the sold out Seinfeld show in Calgary on August 24th.

Face value of course. I don't have them right in front of me but from memory i think the face value is around $115 per ticket.

To put that into perspective, the most powerful production-car audio I know of is the $230,000+ 2003 Aston Martin Vanquish's 1,200-watt system. Irving carries $80,000 worth of audio alone, in a vehicle that is worth, admittedly, slightly less than the Maybach.

Gord played most of Christmastime acoustic, all by himself. He really can play the guitar! It was also weird to see him play an electric guitar. For the cover of Fortunate Son, he changed one of the opening lines from "made to wave the flag, the red, white, & blue" to "made to wave the flag, the red, white, & red." Nice touch on Canada Day.

Its always fun to listen to older concerts and try to listen for rants of songs that didnt come out till much later. Example: at woodstock 99 there are MANY references to CMG wchich came out a while later.

If you listen to hummingbird #1 right at the start of M@W gord says "Welcome to the battle of the nudes" twice

And after fire in the hole he closes with " Thankyou and that was the BOTN"

Canada Day

It's July 1st and if you're Canadian your mind is probably on BBQs, fireworks, warm weather and the long weekend. Maybe a few of you are thinking about visiting relatives or have no plans. If you think Canada Day is just about food, fireworks and a great big birthday party - think again. There's a lot more to it than that.
Canada Day has been called a few names in the past. It used to be known as Dominion Day, First of July, Confederation Day and July the First. Canada wasn't born on July 1st, but the holiday celebrates the events that took place on this day. On July 1, 1867, the British North America Act created the Canadian federal government. This Act stated "one Dominion under the name of Canada," which is why Canada Day was originally called Dominion Day.

In 1982 Dominion Day changed to Canada Day after a vote from Parliament. Not everyone was happy about this change. Some people felt that a 115 year-old part of Canadian heritage was lost. The new name stuck and every July 1st, Canadians celebrate Canada Day. If the first is on a Sunday, it's observed on the following
Canada Day
day. In celebration, Canadians have parades, fireworks, picnics, face painting and food.

Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world combined - about 2 million of them.

Princess Juliana of the Netherlands gave Ottawa 100,000 tulip bulbs as a thank-you gift in 1945. The bulbs were for the safe refuge after Holland exiled the royal family during World War II and in recognition of the Canadian troops who helped free the Netherlands.

The Bank of Canada issued the last $1 bill in 1989. It was replaced by the one dollar coin, known as the loonie, which came out in 1987.

The world's only flying saucer launching pad is in St. Paul, Alberta. It was built in 1967.

The largest mall in the world is the West Edmonton Mall in Alberta. It has over 800 stores and restaurants, a dolphin show, an amusement park, the world's largest indoor lake with four working submarines, 26 movie theaters, and a NHL sized ice arena
