I bought the "Brain Candy" soundtrack when it first came out with Butts Wigglin' on it and after a few listens, I noticed that the bass line was lagging behind a little bit in the intro. Then it speeds back up in time before Gord starts singing.

Then when TATH came out, they added an extra bass note over the top of the intro bassline to sort of cover up the mistake. (The new note is plucked just 4 times.) The lag is not as noticable now, but if you listen closley to just the main bass in the first 15 seconds of the song you can pick it out.

I am wondering if anyone else has ever noticed this??

Looks like Lynette and I are moving to Winnipeg.

We are going to drive it, we can take more stuff with us and it is cheaper.

I was wondering if any one has driven hwy 17 in Ontario?
[Image: NoON-TCH.jpg]
What is it like this time of year? Would anyone recommend driving through the states? From Sault Ste. Marie?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

We are thinking

Day 1 - Halifax -> Montreal - 1233km
Day 2 - Montreal -> Sault Ste. Marie - 979.9 km
Day 3 - Sault Ste. Marie -> Winnipeg - 1379 km (staying in Canada)
- 1283 km (US highway)

Hey all

I'm putting together a comp of instrumental tunes. Mostly of the rock variety. Any suggestions? Here's some of what I have so far.

Fucking In The Bushes - Oasis
Turkish Disco - Fugazi
#34 - Dave Matthews Band
Signe - Eric Claption
Having An Average Weekend - Shaddowy Men From A Shaddowy Planet.

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Pat

Recent article re-confirms the album finishing, and the band is lobbying for a new venue in Kingston.

Hello,Just have a little interesting story I'd like to share with ya's.On Saturday night I went to our local hockey tournament and to my surprise a fella we all know was there,Mr.Lanny Macdonald! he was in town playin in the Curling tourney that was also happenin. I tell ya he is like the nicest fella you'd ever wanna meet! Just a down to earth dude. he signed autographs, told us of some little known hockey stories from back in the day.He had pictures to autograph of him scoring his 500th goal and also 1 of him in his Toronto dayz.I got one for meself of him in Toronto and one for my boy of his 500th goal in Cowtown.but the icing on the cake is when i got my picture beside him with his STANLEY CUP RING ON!!He let me,little old me from podunk saskatchy thats no one to him really, let me where his Stanley Cup Ring!!Now what are the odds of that happenin on any given Saturday!what a million to 1? Possibly even higher! I can't tell ya how amazing that was!! when i first actally held it in my hands i got some major fucking chills down my spine, its one beautiful ring for sure and heavy! It was kinda funny though when i was first getting set to get my pic taken I put my hand right in front of my face and Geoff was like I can't even see your face put your hand down or over some.everyone kinda laughed at that. But thats gonna go down as one for the old memory bookz.hopefuly the pic turns out well!! not with my eyes closed or overexposed or some shit like that!.........summit

Now that we're "on the verge" of the 10th studio Hip album and IVL is well implanted in our heads, How do you rate IVL compared to the other albums? I'm just curious because I find that people's favorites tend to change over time.

I am so obsessed with the Hip that after I know each album very well I rate them using this technique: I rate each song out of 10, giving only my very very favorites 10's otherwise most of the songs would be 10's! Then I add up the numbers and devide it by the number of songs to get the score. This is what I came up with:

9.41 - Road Apples
9.37 - Up To Here
9.17 - Fully Completely
7.35 - Day for Night
7.33 - Phantom Power
7.21 - Music at Work
6.25 - The Tragically Hip
6.00 - Trouble at The Henhouse
6.00 - In Violet Light

IVL is at the bottom along with TATH for me, but don't get me wrong, they are still awesome!

I'm not asking for anyone to be as obsessive as me ConfusedhockSadalthough I'd be curious) but how would you rate IVL compared to the other albums?

Dont know if you guys and gals have the time but i was just wondering what you guys are playing right now. If you into Unreal Tournament, theres a demo of the upcoming release on the net. Its one of the most popular multiplayer games right now and its only the demo!!!. However that age old multiplayer counterstrike (or cheaterstrike) is still the most played :x
